Children's Lighthouse Alamo Ranch

If you are deciding between places to send your children for daycare, look no further, this is the spot. Being former military and now moved from San Antonio and exploring multiple other daycares...nothing comes remotely close. We miss Children's Lighthouse of Alamo Ranch dearly.

We had our daughter here for about a year an a half. We loved it then, but since moving it's only highlighted how special this place really is...they just have it down perfectly.

Every one of our daughter's caretakers was so sweet and took stake in her development. They really cared about her as if she were their own. As we were brand new parents, we really appreciated all the insight and caretakers letting us know how our daughter was doing throughout the day. The staff at Children’s Lighthouse are wonderful and take great care of our daughter Lola. She started daycare around 15 months old, and she loves it here.

Pros:
We always receive timely updates through texts and photos in the Procare app, and we can view her on the webcam via the WatchMeGrow app.

The staff and management genuinely care about your child’s wellbeing and will know your child by name.

The staff always engage the children in fun activities like arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor playtime. My daughter learns something new every day and is rapidly advancing her vocabulary and motor skills.

My son who has ASD has gone here for the past 8 months. I want to start off by saying we have noticed such an improvement with him and seeing how much better he’s done here than at a previous daycare. They have a set curriculum, circle time, letters of the day, learning and even play social games in the classroom with the kids. My son has been more expressive and receptive along with interacting with peers more than he was prior to starting at CL. It seems more like an actual “school” setting vs someone just babysitting our child. He has been in room 5 with Ms Paloma who has honestly been amazing, we absolutely adore her. My son has food sensory so we pack special lunches for him and the woman in the kitchen always makes sure to serve what we pack for him and even asks when we don’t prepare food. This such an amazing place. The staff is very caring and constantly undergo recurring training to ensure the safety of each child. In addition, the staff works with the students on educational tasks appropriate for the respective age.
