The Goddard School

My wife and I really love this school. We feel that our child retains all information she is being taught. The school has also gone above and beyond to insure us as parents that not only is our child’s education important, but safety as well. Our child’s first teachers Ms.Gabby and Ms.Maria are amazing and still help out. Ms.Mary and Ms.Tiffany who are our child’s current teachers are amazing as well. If I left anyone out, please forgive me, everyone at this school and location is amazing. If you are looking for a school to put your child in, this is the school and location where you want your child to be.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Like any parent, my expectations are very high when it comes to my kids and I have to say The Goddard School of Alexandria (West) exceeds my expectations. Ms. Traleece, Ms. Andrea, and Ms. Shawn, the administrative team, are the first smiling faces you see when you walk in the door. What impresses me most about these ladies is how engaging they are, whether it's 7 a.m. or 6 p.m. In addition, these ladies are very organized and run a tight ship to ensure our kids are safe. My 2 y/o, who was very hesitant about starting a new school, started out with Ms. Peace and Ms. Ronnique. These ladies did a great job integrating my son into the class. His days were filled with creative activities, and we quickly witnessed progression in his vocabulary and sign language. My son has now progressed to Ms. Deborah and Ms. Talaya's class. We've had a wonderful experience at Goddard. The teachers, admin, and staff are all top notch. You can feel the kindness and love from the entire staff. Our little one moved up through 4 rooms and we have been happy in each room, they even helped us parents through each transition.

We highly recommend goddard to any family. Your little one will be safe, loved, and learn a ton there.

We also moved and are in the process of choosing a new daycare and goddard offered to talk to the new daycare to help with our little ones transition. We will miss them tremendously.

I loved this school. It's a shame we moved away from Virginia. My child was in Ms Debra's class; Ms Debra is an awesome teacher, she seems to fiercely love her pupils, and dedicates a lot of time to her teaching materials. The Admin staff are professional, and competent. And the owners seemed invested in the daily running of the school. I would recommend this day care to anyone.

Our son started going to Goddard as a 2.5years old (a month after the school opened in 3/20.) We were looking for a school because he was non-verbal and we figured spending a day with kids his age will help. Goddard was the 2nd school we toured and decided on the spot that we were going to send him there and it was the best decision we made. The teachers, admin staff and owners all work as one big family. The school is extremely clean, the teachers are caring and the daily pictures/communication helps parents know what their child is doing throughout the day. A year later our son was diagnosed with Autism and we had to make adjustments to his schedule so he can attend a special program 3hrs in the morning during the school year and they were open to accommodate our request. The Goddard school is the best school my kid has been going to. The staff is very friendly, the teachers are professional and amazing. My son loves to go to school everyday. He is learning a lot and his communication skills have been greatly improved. I highly recommend this school. Dont hesitate to start enrolling your kids if you are looking for a safe and amazing place.

I love the comprehensive approach they have to child development embedded in the curriculum (gross and fine motor, social/emotional, cognition, and speech and language) starting from such a young age and incorporated through play. The app they use to send photos to parents during the day as well as daily reports help me keep updated with what my child is doing. I can tell that my child is loved by her teachers, and even other staff members know her by name. Also, the center is very safe. From the very first phone call where we talked to Ms. Graves and Ms. Jain, we felt welcomed and assured that our child would be in good hands. We are very pleased with our decision to come to the Goddard School!

After COVID shut down our previous daycare, we were so fortunate to find Goddard. The happiness and safety of my kids are both evident here. The teachers are so patient and caring and the administration is easy to communicate with and responsive.
