I cannot thank Florida Medical Transport enough for the compassion and kindness with my father. My father was placed on hospice care and brought home with Florida Medical Transport, we knew that he did not have much longer left and as a last wish we wanted to take my father to the ocean one last time. I called the manager of the company and not only did he allow us to take my dad to see the ocean one final time, they did not charge me a penny to do so. I had a phonomenal experience with this company and their drivers, they treated me with dignity and respect which I have not experienced with some of the other services I even had one of the drivers ask me if I was thirsty and offered me a bottle of water that was unbelievable! My husband has been in medical care (hospital & nursing/rehab facility) since May, and needed to be transported to/from dialysis center (stretcher transport 1st, then wheelchair). I used a couple of different services that had issues being on time- meaning he lost time getting dialysis. I finally found FLORIDA MEDICAL TRANSPORT and it was the end of those nightmares. The office staff is very well educated on transport needs and so helpful thru this whole experience. They are truly Professional in all aspects - from discussion of transport needs, changes in transport needs, and getting him to/from dialysis to nursing home. The drivers/transport staff are: Efficient, ON TIME, attentive - hubby had an episode of extremely low blood pressure and passed out, and they immediately got him to the E/R. WOW - saved his life! My husband has been the main client of Florida Medical Transport (FMT), making roughly 50 round trips for medical purposes during the last 30 weeks. He found their service to be quite extraordinary. The trips were easy to arrange, even on short notice. Once arranged, the service was reliable as to schedule. The drivers were the real strength of FMT. They always acted with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism. One time when he was late completing a medical procedure, the driver tracked him down inside the hospital helping him get home. This company is really really really wonderful. This morning Cy picked me up and took me to Winnie Palmer for an exploratory. He was so friendly, so helpful so kind we talked all the way there about anything and everything his customer service and his attitude is outstanding. The gentleman in the afternoon, picked me up and brought me home. He was very good he Talked to me and his customer service was really good. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who needs the medical transportation. I don’t have anyone that lives in this area that could take me in and they would not release me to an Uber or a taxi. This company was recommended to me by my aunt who ha used them multiple times and if need be, I will definitely use them again. If you need medical transport anywhere everywhere they are wonderful. I can't say enough about Florida Medical Transport. From my first conversation regarding transporting my son from one facility to another 4.5 hours away, they were efficient, compassionate and professional. Everyone at the office was amazing in getting questions answered, offering a reasonable rate (considering it was not covered under insurance) and providing followup, before departure, during the trip and after arrival at the new facility. The two gentlemen assigned for pick up and transfer were friendly, professional and made the experience comfortable and safe for my son. Florida Medical Transport really thinks about the little things even asking my son what type of music he'd prefer to listen to during the trip, and providing status updates along the way. These guys were a vital link in a 5,000-mile hospital to hospital journey for my paralyzed son, a stretcher patient who survived a stroke in South America. Florida Medical Transport handled the last leg of the journey — meet the patient at the sprawling Miami International Airport and transport him to AdventOrlando Hospital’s ER, almost 250 miles north.
Timing and communication were critical in the planning and accomplishment of the mission, especially a quick, smooth connection in Miami with the patient and two companions, his mother and a friend in Miami.
There were hitches. A storm over the Caribbean Sea made the flight almost an hour late. The travelers’ luggage was three times as much as originally reported. Neither was a problem for the transport team.
