American Home Buyer

All of my dealings with this company - from the initial contacts through the closing - were really positive. They were very upfront about how they valued the property, the work that they felt was needed to sell it, and the profit they were expecting. We did not receive a lot for the property, but I think it was a fair price and we didn't have to do any work to get it sold. All of the folks we dealt with there were really nice.

The folks at American Home Buyer were prompt, courteous and really bent over backwards to facilitate closing from out of state. Proceeds from sale were promptly made. If you have a house that's not in tip top shape that needs to be sold quickly, these folks are a great resource.

I can't tell you enough how strongly I feel about American Home Buyer, Ltd and its members' honesty and integrity! I have been working with AHB and Mika Self for many, many years. In the time that I have known them, I have had the chance to witness many aspects of their work ethic by which I am extremely impressed. Mika is of the greatest moral character and genuinely cares about the people he surrounds himself with. AHB made; what could have been a very distressing event, very easy. They are upfront with the process and while no one ever gets what they think their house is worth, they are not high pressure or condescending. They are very forthright in their explanations of the offer and the procedure to complete the sale was carried out in a very efficient and respectful manner.

I hoped that my home wouldnt be turned into a rental property and they assured me that they sold to individuals. My trust was well-founded.

I was able to get out from under my monthly mortgage payments( that mostly went to interest) and use it to pay off other outstanding obligations.

We are in our 70's and have lived in our home for 44 years. Although we made some repairs and updates over the years, it needed kitchen, bath and Sheetrock/paint updates again. Not wanting to hire a contractor and go through the hassle of upgrading in order to sell it, we contacted American Home Buyer and got a very impressive quote. We signed the contract that day and closed 2 weeks later. Our funds were wired into our bank account at closing. Very easy and Mika and his staff were so nice and helpful!

I thank God that I did that! I called and spoke to Scott Baker. We made an appointment to meet Mika Self, Manager. Mika was very honest and forthright with us. He said our grandchildren could leave the house "as is" after they had removed all their belongings. Mika assured us he would donate anything of value to charities that would use these items for good causes. We did just that and left several major appliances and other items.
The closing transaction was quite easy and we felt relieved that we didn't have to list the property...
