ECU Pediatric Gastroenterology

I called and tried to make an appointment here a few minutes ago. The lady i spoke with on the phone asked for all of my information and proceeded to tell me that the earliest appointment at the cary location was in mid January ( a month and a half away.) When i asked about the Raleigh location she told me that the earliest was a month from now, late December. I said okay thank you and hung up the phone and went on to look for other gastroenterologist doctors when i saw one in holly springs. I called this number, just to realize that it was the same place, at a different location. But this time when i gave her my information she told me that they could not see patients under the age of eighteen. I asked even with a parent? and she said “we do not take patients under the age of eighteen period.” This really upset me because i spent 20 minutes on the phone with this lady the first time...

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kunde and his staff. We have always been treated with respect and concern at Dr. Kunde's offices. I was very concerned with my daughter's health and condition and Dr. Kunde addressed my concerns and my daughter's health has improved so much under his care. We have had to go back and forth between 2 states because of my husband's job and I prefer Dr. Kunde's care over others we have seen in the past who suggested much stronger intervention. I don't doubt that Dr. Kunde would take whatever efforts needed to get my daughter well, but thankfully that has not been the case, as I told him we would prefer the least amount of side effects as possible. All I can say is I thank God for Dr. Kunde!! I also appreciate how available the staff is at this office when my pharmacy calls or if I call and ask a question. If I have to leave a voice mail they...

Zero stars. Doesn't listen to parent. Goes with his preconceived ideas on the situation. Offered Mylanta as solution after parent told him that is what the Pediatrician had tried in the past and it didn't work. His advice was just try and come back if it doesn't work, showing Dr. Kunde doesn't listen and doesn't care to resolve the health issue.

I loved that Dr. Kunde started and ended our visit by shaking both my hand and my 2.5 year old daughter's hand. He advocates for dietary change before medical intervention, which aligns with my preferences as a mom. The visit was very efficient and I left without any further questions.

I want to tank Dr. Kunde for his excellent care for my daughter. As you can see with the rest of the reviewers, he really cares about his patients. His level of detail to help out my daughter as well as his other patients goes way beyond excellent. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

I just dread leaving voicemail messages on the nurseline; especially if it is something urgent and requires immediate attention. With my prior experiences, it always takes a few days to even weeks to receive a call back. NOT SO with nurse Brittney K. at Wake Pediatric. Our 6 month old has severe milk allergy and was placed on Elecare due to being diagnosed as failure to thrive and needed authorization to be approved by Tricare. Since a can cost nearly $50, Brittney gave us some sample formulas to make it it through the interim while she did the footwork to get our claim approved. NEVER have I seen anyone respond to our dire need with such promptness and thorough follow-up. She is warm and down to earth. She is exactly what other medical professionals should aspire to be like and I am truly appreciative of her assistance in this complicated matter.

Dr. Kunde was found during my research for persistent c-diff in my daughter, with no help from her pediatrician. We needed a pediatric gastrointestinal. I was extremely lucky to have found such an amazing specialist. Dr. Kunde is a great doctor. They are hard to come by. He’s great with kids, very patient, kind, and informative. My daughter respects him as much as I do. That speaks for itself. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent experience at Dr. Kunde's office. He was patient, compassionate, and thorough. He listened to all of our concerns, and he ordered two different tests to evaluate the source of our son's symptoms. Once diagnosed, he worked with us to establish a treatment plan that was both reasonable and effective. We are so grateful for all that he has done/continues to do to help our little boy!

We were very happy with our visit with Dr. Kunde. We actually drove with our 10 month old from Charlotte to Raleigh to get a diagnosis and a plan for our baby who ended up being diagnosed with FPIES. We were under a pediatric GI doctors care in Charlotte and were sadly not getting the help my son needed. Dr. Kunde actually listened to my sons history, and made a plan for us keeping my sons health and development the number one priority. We are forever greatful. It was well worth the drive!

Our daughter was very sick by the time we found Dr. Kunde. He is extremely knowledgeable, direct and most of all compassionate with our child and us as parents. He understands you have to balance medical treatment with a child's active life and worked with us to find the best plan to quickly help our child's disease get under control. He is very patient with all of our questions. We are thankful for our partnership with Dr. Kunde and his staff.
