After getting proposals to replace our 21-year-old 5-ton Trane heat pump from several other HVAC companies, we came across AirTime totally by accident. A friend had recommended a company with a similar (but not the same) name (Air something or other). We called AirTime thinking that it was the company that had installed our friend's AC. AirTime's estimate for the top-of-the-line Bosch system was a full $6,000 less than the other guys. I asked Ashton how they could afford to sell it at that price and he explained that about 6 or 7 years ago several of the large HVAC companies in the Valley were bought out by private equity firms and now must provide profits to those investors.
