Abide Physical Therapy

I have EDS, thoracic outlet syndrome, and a ton of comorbilities and injuries. I am in so much pain constantly and had a lot of surgeries with tons of injuries that still require surgery, but I am very adverse now. I know the best thing for EDS is physical therapy; however, I’ve been in PT for about 8 years on and off and always get hurt there, am farmed out to an exercise specialist who has loads of patients and not enough time to watch me, etc. - bottom line, I have not had the best experiences with PT.

My doctor referred me to Dr. Michelle and I could tell she was very different from our initial phone call. I was still reluctant to schedule so I held off for several months because I have fear that I’ll get hurt again.

I was dealing with shoulder pain for a while affecting my workouts, sleep and quality of life. I thought I could make it go away myself with stretching and certain exercises but it just kept getting worse. After many months I went and saw Dr. Michelle and she helped me start correcting the issue. She helped me with different movements, stretches and exercises and left me with ones to do myself every day. I quickly started to see improvements with the pain and range of motion and strength! It’s like nigh and day and I’m so glad I went to see Dr. Michelle!

I’d been dealing with Achilles pain for about a year. Figured it would go away on its own or that it was just the price of aging and jiu jitsu. Of course, it progressed and once the pain was all day, I decided to figure it out. Foot doc sent me to physical therapy and a friend recommended Dr. Michelle. Let me tell you. Immediate relief after the first session. She goes hard.

After a few sessions like that, I knew my niece who is 10 and experiences chronic pain, needed to see her. Dr. Michelle listened as she described her pain, asked questions, and settled in. After the first session, my niece said “my hips better than they have my whole life!” Each session with Dr. Michelle is like that: listening, asking questions, and getting to work. We both continue to improve under Dr. Michelle’s care.

Dr Michelle is freaking fantastic! I've got multiple issues and she is absolutely genius at intuiting the root of each as well as the best way to treat them, and she's not afraid to pivot when a better treatment option presents itself. I was having dizziness, anxiety, lightheadedness, headaches and sore neck muscles. I didn’t know what it was. I worked with doctors for about 5 months and even checked into the hospital. After 2 full days in the hospital all the tests and blood work came back normal. The doctors couldn’t find anything wrong and I felt helpless. Finally I called Dr Michelle Perry at Abide. I had worked with her before on other things. She was able to fit me in within a couple of days and went right to work. I saw Dr. Michelle when I was pregnant with our third child. I was having severe pain in my pubic bone. After only 3 visits and a few simple homework exercises, the pain was gone!

My favorite thing is how Dr. Michelle approaches treatment. She diagnoses, educates, and gives a solution. In the past, I had seen chiropractors who wanted me to keep coming in 1-2x week for 6-1yr.. Dr. Michelle gives real solutions that work and last due to the education.

Not to mention, she is a beautiful, loving caring woman with a heart for God.

I would highly suggest anyone having pain, discomfort, or just wanting to improve performance see her! She is worth every dollar, and far beyond.

I’ve been doing yoga for years and when I met Dr. Michelle, she could feel my back was tight and I was able to get into a pose so much better after she worked on me.
She truly cares for her patients. It’s obvious that Dr. Michelle is passionate about her work and does her very best to help.

Working with Dr Michelle was a wonderful experience I was hospitalized from an injury and she made my health a priority. Felt very cared about and not just another source of money. Made sure to get me in for regular appointments and helped my back recovery happen so much faster than if she wasn’t there supporting me and educating me. Very professional while still being compassionate and caring.

I came in after struggling with ankle pain for a few weeks. Dr. Michelle got me in quickly and after just 2 session (and some recommended stretching) I was COMPLETELY pain free!

I'd highly recommend Dr. Michelle to anyone experiencing pain or discomfort, regardless of what you've tried in the past.
