Abide Physical Therapy

When I Broke my foot, Dr. Michelle at Abide was one of the first people I called. She has been treating me throughout the healing process and I know the PT treatments have stimulated healing, kept my ankle mobile so that once the bone is healed I’ll be ahead of the game when it comes to getting back full strength, walking and mobility.

Michelle and Paola are both very helpful, considerate and timely. I look forward to meeting them and going through therapy.

I first saw Michelle at Abide a couple years ago and then I got in contact with her again for some new issues. She got me in quickly and talked about what she sees and thinks is going on. After some gently mobilization I could breathe easier through my chest and and then some joint mobilization helped me posture and pain in my traps. She explained why most standard PT doesn't always help hypermobile patients and she made sense! I appreciate her compassion and knowledge!

My daughter had her gallbladder removed in 2021., which left her with constant pain around her belly button. We tried several different types of therapies, and medicines. Several doctors appointments, but nothing helped. Then in October of 2024, she had a spinal tap and then had to have a blood patch done. After those two procedures, she was left with really bad tremors as well as horrible back pain. She was unable to walk very well. A few weeks later she was diagnosed with pots, heds, and mcas. I have been working with Dr. Perry since early February 2022. Focus areas of body repair started with left wrist (low mobility from excess scar tissue), followed by left knee (chronic arthritis and severe meniscus tear), and currently on hip / ankle mobility (long-standing misalignment during squats resulting from left knee over-compensation).

Her initial approach is surgical and her subsequent remedies are corrective. After recovery, her efforts combine into sustainable preventative measures (tasks) for improved balance and mobility. I integrate her assignments into my daily warm-up routine and although they are sometimes time-intensive, they are sufficient for injury prevention and improved performance.

I'd certainly recommend Dr. Perry for injury containment and recovery, but the patient must be consistent with doing the assigned exercises and movements in...

I chose Abide because of their focus on manual therapies and the amount of 1:1 time therapists spend with you. I have gone to physical therapy in the past but my experience with Abide has been infinitely better! I originally started going in hopes to avoid meniscus surgery in my knee and very quickly felt relief. I ended up receiving treatment for my shoulder and pelvic floor as well, and all has been very effective. I would definitely recommend Abide!

Dr. Michelle is amazing! First off, it was very quick and easy to book an appointment which was a big deal to me considering how much pain I was in. Dr. Michelle does a thorough evaluation and educated me the entire way through my PT sessions. I was dealing with chronic neck and back pain and she found the root of my issue. If you ever felt like you weren’t heard or understood from a provider, go to Dr. Michelle! She listened to what I was saying and truly cared without a doubt.

Dr Michelle has been fantastic! She diagnosed a tight scapula muscle that affected my whole right side, including my shoulder. She's been able to free it up through massage and manipulation and gave me simple home exercises to keep it limber.

Of the number of physical obstacles I’ve faced this past year (as a Jiu Jitsu coach and competitor), that Dr. Michelle has helped me with… my lower back injury was the worst and terrified me beyond measure. I waited a bit longer than I should have, hoping it would repair itself… it didn’t. I have suffered with chronic pain (CRPS) for 18 years. I have seen every specialist, and have had every procedure known to man with absolutely no relief in my symptoms. The past 1-2 years has been filled with frustration and hopelessness as I watched my symptoms worsen and affect my quality of life. I have worked with Michelle professionally (being a healthcare provider myself), and after learning that she addresses chronic pain, I thought I would give it a go.
