Went here because I have taken my son here a couple of times (thinking they knew what they were talking about)They seemed okee so I thought I would try them for myself. I went in with what I knew, by looking at my toe (it was that bad!), was toenail fungus. I told the dr and he looked at it and said “yes that is exactly what it looks like. I will take a clipping and send it to be tested and when the results come back you will be able to have this really expensive great medicine for an inexpensive price!” So he took a clipping and set it on a tray........ yup! He set it on a tray! Not a baggie, not in someone’s hand but a tray. We then both left the room with my clipping STILL by itself on the tray! I left thinking that was a bit odd and not very organized that he would leave it there but thought “eh maybe they have a system.”
So a week went by. 2 weeks went by and I didn’t hear from them. So I called the pharmacist that I was supposedly getting the medicine from and they told me that they never received a Rx for me nor did they have any test results. They instructed me to call the drs office. When I called they told me that I DID NOT TEST POSITIVE for fungus and that the only other option they could give me was to REMOVE MY TOENAIL?!?!?! Ummmmmmm..... I may not be a dr but I do know what toenail fungus looks like and I’m not removing my toenail because you, most likely, lost my toenail clipping and don’t want to tell me, so you make up some random test results!!!
I decided to get a second opinion. Sure enough I went down the road to Foot Specialist of Memorial Hermann with Dr Jeff Hetman and he tested my toenail clipping! He actually put it in a baggie when he clipped it...... duh!! And the results came back!! Would you believe it?!?! I was right the whole time!! Ugh!! Toenail fungus! So guess what guys?!?! I ACTUALLY DONT HAVE TO REMOVE MY TOENAIL AFTER ALL!!!!!! Very bad for youguys, but good for me!! Will never go here again.
