I’d like to share an unexpected, yet amazing testimonial about my experience throughout my hip replacement 10/26/21! My name is Richard (Craig) Abbey, from Erie, Pennsylvania, who resides in Naples, Florida;

Being an athlete and runner all my life, I had developed some pain in my right knee over the years, which got progressively worse until it required arthroscopic meniscus repair on 11/29/18. After the surgery, physical therapy and several months of wishful thinking, my right leg, always seemed to have some pain or discomfort from the knee down and I was walking with a limp. I would always dread washing my right foot or putting my socks on, because of the painful difficulty of bending that way. There were occasional visits to orthopedic doctors, MRIs, X-rays and even a stem cell treatment, with no relief. I was at the point of accepting my condition and thought there was no hope to enjoy my active lifestyle again!

Then, Sept. 7th, 2021, while visiting my mom in Erie, Pa, she suggested I go to the Tri-State Pain Institute on Peach Street to see Dr. Joseph Thomas. Upon my visit, Dr. Thomas diagnosis was a possible hip issue, not knee. After taking X-rays he determined severe arthritis on my right hip and suggested a hip replacement. He referred me to Dr, Molli in Meadville, Pa and said his success and reputation with the anterior process was the best he’s known anywhere in the area and it resulted in minimal recovery time with less therapy. So, I decided to follow up with his suggsuggestion and made an appointment with Dr. Molli and the Whole Health Orthopedic Institute. This turned out to be the most gratifying and amazing experience of my life, outside witnessing the birth of my 3 children!

During my very first visit to the Institute on Sept. 30th, 2021, I knew immediately I was in the right place! The gorgeous structure with amazing wooden beam architecture, cathedral ceilings and brilliant light from awesome glass windows was as inviting and impressive as I’d ever seen. At check in, the staff was friendly, upbeat, sincere, and very considerate. From every staff member I met, I became more comfortable and content feeling like they had my best interest and care in mind. The journey throughout my hip replacement surgery ended up being even more incredible.

Captain Magical Molli with his profound 45 minute anterior technique in harmony with his masterful crew of caring and talented professionals has changed my world forever. The nature of this anterior procedure, due to evading muscles and tendons, has helped reduce my recovery time and restored my faith in having a quality lifestyle again. I’m now able to anticipate playing with my grandchildren and enjoying life without the apprehension of participating in any activities. I will forever applaud and appreciate the conscientious and professional bedside manner of every person associated with his team. From the initial friendly care at the front desk, to my last follow up appointment and complimentary mini pizza slices from the Italian restaurant next door, I have been very impressed and will refer everyone I know to this establishment!

I’d also like to count my blessings for God above and give him thanks for not allowing Dr. Molli to be on vacation during my time of need. I’m so humbled and grateful!
