I have a success story that I would like to share with you about my recovery from Total Hip Replacement that Dr. Ryan Mollie in Meadville Pa did for me.
Before I tell you of my recovery, the information that I received about the procedure was explained by a flim, Nurses and Dr. Ryan Mollie. I also received a brochure on how to take care of myself during recovery.

I wish I could give this group more than 5 stars. My experience was great. It was truly a group effort, from my first appointment through my 6 week appointment. I had some anxiety as I first started this journey, but once I had my pre-op appointment I knew all was well. The right hand certainly knows what the left hand is doing. I was able to call with any questions I had or if I needed anything. My surgery was a same day surgery, which was my request. They sent me home with everything I needed to recover. Dr. Molli called me the night before the surgery, and his staff called me after surgery on a regular basis to make sure all was well. Less pain on day one then I have been in for at least three years. Other doctors refused me because of my age. But Dr. Molli and his staff understand that there has to be a quality of life as well. My wife had both knees replaced 7 years ago by Dr. Frndak. She had both done at the same time and has had great results.

I had my left knee replaced by Dr. Frndak in April and am 8 weeks into my recovery. Great success so far. Only used 5 pain pills in first two days and nothing since. Didn’t really need those but many were saying get ahead of the pain. They injected some kind of a pain block into my thigh and back of the knee. Had a bruise in both locations but certainly blocked the pain.

Only complication I had was of my own making. Put a tv in bedroom half way up the wall and have an adjustable bed. I was off meds in my fifth week. Stressed my neck by adjusting the head of the bed too high to see over my bifocal. Ended up with dizziness and a stiff neck for better than a week.

When I knew I could no longer put off having Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgery, I prayed for guidance in finding the right surgeon. I just had a full hip replacement on my right side. Dr. Molli and his staff were truly amazing throughout the whole process. I never had a doctor call me the night before a surgery to see if I was ready, to see if I had any questions, and to give me reminders. His bedside manner is beyond words. I had no major pain. I was up and moving the same day as the surgery. Edgewood Surgical Center staff were also great. I chose to stay one night. I was taken very good care of by the nurses and physical therapy staff. Don had Partial Knee Replacement by Dr. Molli in the morning and by 3:30PM we were home. At his six week check up he was cleared no restrictions and ready to golf.
