I BELIEVE I WAS A VICTIM OF MEDICAL FRAUD DUE TO DR. JASON ZABEL'S PREDATORY AND GREEDY BEHAVIOR.


I have autism and was hit by a car in spring of 2021 and began searching for low cost medical treatment for recovery. After searching, I found the urban wellness group, where Dr. Zabel profusely assured me that insurance will definitely cover my overall medical expenses and would be happy to help me. Unfortunately, it would appear I was taken advantage of, specifically with upcoding.


According to the bill and medical paperwork such as the chart notes, I apparently received numerous procedures that I was unaware of. I received 8 HBOT treatments (which were poorly supervised and in what appeared to be the staff break room), 12 upper back acupuncture treatments sometimes with or without a heat pad(leaving me shivering) and 2 muscles adjustments...

Dr. Zabell is very concerned about his patients. When I first called he scheduled me right away, not weeks or a month out as is usual. He is always encouraging, even on my worst days reassuring me healing would happen. Healing is happening, and I'm incredibly grateful Dr. Zabell is on my team helping with my journey! He has an amazing group of people working with him as well. All are genuinely warm and welcoming.

I came in for HBOT. The doctors there really could have just ignored me, but I was in a compromised condition and they were concerned and checked up on me to make sure I would be alright, not just in relation to the HBOT, but generally, to make sure I was safe and taken care of. Impressive.
