Travel Divas

I enjoyed the Ghana trip with Travel Divas. I found the host, tour guides and itinerary to be awesome. The kempinski hotel was beautiful and the staff was amazing.
I have one disappointment with the way the renaming ceremony was handled.
The naming ceremony was extremely important to me and one of the reasons that I chose travel divas to guide me through my journey. I feel that the ceremony was rushed.

I was informed that the photographer would take a professional photo of each group member upon receiving their name. My daughter was photographed individually, however I was not. Nor did I appear in the group photo. The only individual picture that I have is the one taken by my daughter. I did inquire about this while in Ghana and was told that contact would be made with the photographer regarding my photo.
The lack of my professional photo is secondary to the fact that only 1/2 members were given individual information about their African name. A comment was made regarding limited time so we were grouped together and a few words were said to a group of four members.
We were advised that the meaning of our African name would be sent to us. Upon arrival to the USA, the host did ask for a copy of our certificate to provide us with information surrounding our name. I sent it in for my daughter and I.
Other than this experience I enjoyed the first trip with Travel Divas. I rated this group 5 stars since efforts are underway to explain the new name. Unfortunately I can’t go back in time for the professional photo.
