I was in a car accident that left me with horrific whiplash and a severe concussion. The medical team suggested and tried steroids, biweekly acupuncture, physical therapy, and I ended up on a max dose of Aleve for 9 months just to make it through basic functions. I was unable to return to work and ended up retiring early. I saw Dr Boelk’s decompression ad on Facebook and was curious. The experience here at The Spinal decompression center has been nothing short of spectacular. I have been dealing with lower back pain from l5-s1 herniation for the past 4.5 years. My experience, seeing Dr. Boelk at the San Diego, spinal decompression and chiropractic center was absolutely fantastic! I went in to treat a pinched nerve in my neck that was causing fingers to go numb and loss Of strength in one of my arms. I am very grateful to have found Dr. Boelk at The Spinal Decompression & Chiropractic Center of San Diego. Many years ago, I was a patient of another clinic doing DRX decompression and it did wonders for my cervical spine injury. Long story short, I never went back for maintenance visits once my pain was gone; this is totally my fault. That clinic eventually closed and I had nowhere else to go for DRX. Dr. Boelk and his team have been wonderful. I have been seeing Dr. Boelk since November for my back pain due to disc herniation. I injured a disc in my spine carrying a heavy mechanical couch during a move and it had become painful to move and work. I lost mobility and had difficulty even putting shoes on. The pain was interfering with my everyday lifestyle. At my first visit, Dr. Boelk took X-rays and showed me what was wrong. After reviewing the X-ray results, we agreed upon a treatment plan. He was very professional, thorough, knowledgeable, informative and caring. After carefully reviewing my health records, he was very honest and let me know that I was not a candidate for Spinal Decompression due to my history with Osteoporosis. Dr. Boelk and his team are wonderful! I had severe sciatic pain a few years ago. I followed his recommended treatment and was out of pain after the first visit; there was light at the end of the tunnel. I see him now every 6 or 8 weeks, and it is keeping my pain at bay.
