I wanted to take this opportunity to connect with you and share a little of my story, because I believe that it is valuable information for you to know when making a choice in choosing a Real Estate Agent. My journey to becoming an Realtor® was not a direct route. I have faced many obstacles and successes along the way, and they have all led me to be the man and the Agent that I am today. One of the most significant moments of my life, like that of most Americans, was September 11, 2001. Being born and raised in the Borough of Staten Island, it affected me deeply and directly. Burned forever into my memory is exiting the Holland Tunnel in Manhattan on that morning, was to see the thick black smoke billowing from a gaping hole in the North Tower. The tragic events that followed are just as vivid in my mind today as they were back then. That day, I lost a family member and a few close friends. Even in all the pain and sadness, I had a tremendous desire to make things right again. I wanted to do my part to help rebuild. I was directly involved with the engineering efforts at ground zero. I assisted the FBI, FEMA, and the Military with the procurement of evidence and information. That experience taught me a sense of humility and community that I will always carry with me. While September 11th affected me greatly, it does not define me. I have faced and overcome countless other obstacles. As an engineering student, I struggled academically initially, but persevered, becoming one of only 17 to graduate from a program that started with 130 + students. I have also experienced my share of financial struggles throughout the years, with the highs and lows in the economy. Like so many other obstacles, I have turned those challenges into the success that benefits so many of my clients today. Similar to my personal experiences, my professional path to real estate was indirect. I worked for several years as an electronics engineer, which lead me to start my own home security company. Although I found success, there was still something missing. Initially I got my real estate license to access the new homeowners’ list to promote my company. A simple conversation that led to helping 3 sisters purchase homes in Pennsylvania helped me find my purpose. This spurred my life’s journey as an agent! My dynamic professional background is an immense benefit to my career in real estate in terms of insight and wisdom. The attention to detail, determination, and hard-work effort that was required to be a success in engineering, both as a student and a professional, is still relevant every day to my current occupation. Also, the sales and customer service skills that I learned while owning my own security company transferred perfectly into this industry. All of these trials and tribulations, including September 11th, have developed a deep need in me to give back to my community. One of the most notable is through the Movie Night for Hunger campaign, which I founded and sponsored. This Food Drive, in partnership with the San Diego Food Bank, was hosted at Qualcomm Stadium and featured on the Good Morning San Diego News & ESPN Radio! The experiences in my life have taught me that any obstacle can be overcome and to never take No for an answer if there is a Yes to be had. In a very short time frame, I helped a widow of a veteran on a fixed income who was in a financial pickle. She had to sell 2 homes that were distressed and purchase a home that was within her adjusted budget. I fought aggressive agents, and over bearing banks to assist another client who was active duty military going through a divorce sell his home and buy a new one. While the sale of his home went smoothly the new purchase fell apart. We had 3 days to find a replacement home and get his family moved in. All while he was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan within two weeks! These are just two examples of clients that I have helped make their financial and property dreams come into fruition. My motto is “always leave people in a better place than where you found them”. I have done this by following some very simple philosophies, like putting people over profits, taking the process one step at a time, and having a never quit attitude to the benefit of my clients. Taking these philosophies into account, I have developed the “Strategy for Success in Real Estate”, or the 4 P’s, as I like to call them, which consist of People, Plan, Product, and Profit. As the team leader I must first understand the importance of the People involved in every transaction. 2nd-P Introduce a specific plan that secures the clients’ desired outcome. 3rd-P prepare the Product to attain the 4th-P which is maximum Profit for the client. I would love nothing more than to lend my knowledge and experience toward helping you with your real estate endeavors, but I don’t expect your business simply because of our relationship—I only ask that you take the time to interview me and see if I might be the best agent for you. You probably already know that buying or selling real estate is an enormously important decision, and the representation you receive from your agent can have significant impact on your results. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. When you or someone you know is in need of a real estate agent, I hope you give me the opportunity to demonstrate my services and interview for the job.
