I wanted to take this opportunity to connect with you and share a little of my story because I believe it provides valuable insight when choosing a real estate agent. My journey to becoming a REALTOR® was not a straightforward path. I've faced numerous challenges and achieved significant successes, all of which have shaped the person and the agent I am today. One of the most impactful moments of my life, as it was for many Americans, was September 11, 2001. Born and raised in the Borough of Staten Island, I was deeply affected by the events of that day. I'll never forget exiting the Holland Tunnel in Manhattan and seeing the thick black smoke billowing from a gaping hole in the North Tower. The tragic events that followed are just as vivid in my memory today. I lost a family member and a few close friends that day. Amidst the pain and sadness, I felt a strong desire to help rebuild. I was directly involved in the engineering efforts at Ground Zero, assisting the FBI, FEMA, and the Military in procuring evidence and information. That experience instilled in me a deep sense of humility and community. While September 11th had a profound impact on me, it does not define me. I've overcome many other obstacles. As an engineering student, I initially struggled academically, but persevered, becoming one of only 17 to graduate from a program that started with over 130 students. I've also experienced financial struggles, particularly during economic downturns. Yet, I've turned these challenges into successes, which now benefit my clients. My professional journey to real estate was similarly indirect. I worked as an electronics engineer for several years and later started my own home security company. Although successful, I felt something was missing. Initially, I obtained my real estate license to access new homeowners’ lists to promote my company. However, a simple conversation led to helping three sisters purchase homes in Pennsylvania, which ignited my passion for real estate. My diverse professional background provides invaluable insight and wisdom in my real estate career. The attention to detail, determination, and hard work that were essential in engineering continue to be relevant in my current role. Additionally, the sales and customer service skills I gained from owning my security company have seamlessly transferred to real estate. These life experiences, including those from September 11th, have fostered a deep desire in me to give back to my community. One notable initiative I've led is the Movie Night for Hunger campaign, a food drive in partnership with the San Diego Food Bank. Hosted at Qualcomm Stadium, it was featured on Good Morning San Diego News and ESPN Radio. I've learned that any obstacle can be overcome and that persistence is key. For example, I helped a widow of a veteran, who was on a fixed income, sell two distressed homes and purchase a new one within her adjusted budget. I also assisted an active-duty military client going through a divorce, helping him sell his home and find a new one within a tight timeframe before his deployment to Afghanistan. These are just a few examples of how I've helped clients achieve their financial and property goals. My motto is to "always leave people in a better place than where you found them." I follow simple but powerful philosophies: prioritizing people over profits, taking the process step by step, and maintaining a never-quit attitude. These principles are encapsulated in my "Strategy for Success in Real Estate," which I call the 4 P's: People, Plan, Product, and Profit. As a team leader, I first prioritize the people involved in each transaction, then introduce a specific plan to achieve their desired outcomes, prepare the product, and ultimately maximize profit for my clients. I would love the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to help you with your real estate endeavors. I don't expect your business simply because of our relationship; I ask only that you take the time to interview me and see if I'm the best agent for you. Buying or selling real estate is a significant decision, and the representation you receive can greatly impact your results. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me. When you or someone you know needs a real estate agent, I hope you'll give me the opportunity to demonstrate my services and interview for the job. eXp Realty | Nathan Robinson | DRE# 01900302
