If you would consider ivy dean as your college consultant, I would strongly recommend you to avoid it.
Drusilla Blackman who is the consultant representing the company provided absolutely nothing but harmful advice for my child for college consulting. Our mistake was paying her the full fee before she began working with us. Her attitude changed 180 degrees upon the receipt of the full payment. She spent a minimum of time talking to my child about writing the essays. I mean a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes. She only spoke to her about 5 times about the essay. She gave us the opposite guide of how to write essays from what we read on books and the internet. She could not remember which schools we were applying to and we had to remind her the names of the schools. That worried us but she already took the full payment and we naively decided to have faith in her strange process because we believed in her credentials at that time. She never let us talk to the editor to see if her essays were correctly written. The revised essays which she sent to us two days before submission had so many grammatical errors. We were devastated as we did not have sufficient time to edit ourselves or look for another editor. We got rejected by all schools we had applied to. We later found out that there were incidents of lawsuits and bad reviews on her services but that information was buried down and we did not see them. She sounds somewhat professional in the beginning and she knows very well to lure you in with words that sounds like she knows something about the application process but please do not be scammed by her seemingly professional wordings. They are not true based on our experience. She will say that the bad negatives are a few and most of her clients are happy with her service. However, you should verify if indeed the positive reviews are accurate and not written by people with incentives. I would highly recommend against using Drusila Blackman representing the ivy dean based on my personal horrifying experience. It was not just the $2800 she took from us, she ruined our chance of getting into a decent school even though our child's gpa was above 4.3 and had decent extracurricular activities that my child had built upon. Her essays, supposedly helped by blackman's editors, were horrible. We were rejected by all schools. She refused to refund us the money and threatened and bluffed us with defaming her company but we plan to pursue her legally.
