The Goddard School of Herndon

"A home away from home" - cliched but so appropriate for Goddard School, Herndon. We were apprehensive, confused, anxious, and wary about how our 3+ son would adjust to a school environment, given that almost 3 years of his life was spent in relative isolation - thanks to Covid. However, all our fears were allayed once he joined Goddard School, Herndon. I would like to thank each one of the faculty at the school for creating a safe and inclusive classroom for all the students, irrespective of their backgrounds. A big shout out to Ms. Abha, Ms. Marilynn, and Ms. Padmini for their warmth, care, and unwavering support to all their students and parents alike.

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing The Goddard School in Herndon is! I had to go back to work after only being on maternity leave for about 6 weeks, so sending my daughter to a daycare that young was an incredibly hard thing to do. From the moment I stepped into this school I instantly felt like this was the right place for my daughter. The entire staff is so warm, welcoming, and so easy to talk to. The rooms are a good size and they keep them very clean. I am always greeted with a smile and a good morning in the morning by the directors and/or owner. They are so friendly and always fill me in on how my daughter is doing. If I have any questions or concerns they are very quick to respond. My daughter loves them as much as she loves her teachers! Her teachers are absolutely amazing! Very attentive, very loving, and always on top of it with sending pictures, sending daily...

My son went to The Goddard School herndon two months. We LOVE it. He seems much happier than he was at his previous school, and is always excited to go to school in the morning. He is learning a lot. We absolutely love Goddard School- Herndon.

Goddard Herndon is an excellent school. The teachers and office staff are very caring and take good care of the children. The new owners Abha and her husband are great. They make sure every family is treated very well. Ms Minoo is a great and kept us updated with what is going on in the school or if there is anything going on with the child’s health. This school had been like a second home for my son. He thoroughly enjoyed going to school, learning new things everyday and making friends.

Where to start...

Being new to Herndon in 2021, our 1st priority was putting our only daughter in a summer camp. Making new friends and enjoying life after a year & a half with only mom and dad was very important to us especially during the Pandemic. We toured a few schools but none of them really hit that nostalgic environment like the Goddard School of Herndon/Dulles. From the front office and it's staff, to the layout of the school and its playgrounds; the sense of security and childlike curiosity radiates. Needless to say we kept our daughter there for 2 summer camps and Pre-K!

Going into kindergarten my child is prepared and excited to go to school. That had a lot to do with the staff and curriculum at Goddard. My wife and I rate the Goddard School a 10/10.

My son started at Goddard Dulles at 12 months old in Ms. Mimi’s class and 6 months later has now graduated to the toddler class with Ms. Candice. It was his first time in daycare so we were filled with worry but immediately felt at home! Every week our son comes home with all his weekly art projects. Ms. Mimi clearly puts a lot of work into making them adorable keepsakes with personalized touches. My son loves it there and has learned so much! I feel completely at ease and safe knowing he’s being well taken care of. I could not recommend this place more! They have fun summer events for the kiddies, an extensive curriculum, loving and knowledgeable staff and occasional fun events for the whole family to attend.

The Goddard School of Herndon has been such a blessing from the very beginning. The on-site owner, Ms. Abha, was so sweet and helpful as I enrolled my daughter. I called one Friday afternoon seeking to quickly enroll my daughter. She stayed behind Friday evening after the school closed to show me the facility and even came in the next Saturday so that I could get my daughter enrolled quickly. Since my daughter started as an infant a year ago, the teachers and staff have all nurtured and cared for my little one. Now that she’s almost two, I see such growth and advancement in my daughters development and milestones. Ms. Kim and Ms. Marilyn, the Director and assistant director, are both always so helpful and greet my daughter by name when she comes in the door. I want to give a special thank you to Ms. Meme. We enrolled our son in Goddard Herndon October 2021 and are very happy with his progress.

Abha and all the teachers and principle are very kind and understanding and would take very personal care of each student.

Our son learned good discipline and his language improved quite quickly. The location is very accessible from our home and is very nearby to all amenities.

If there are any personal requests, Abha is very receptive and we get updates on daily activities without fail everyday. His teacher "Get Set" - Ms. Sonia and "Pre School 1" - Ms. Priya and Ms. Leida were extremely friendly and kind.

The staff and owner ( director ) not only welcome my daughter and myself in the school but also helped to get us more comfortable in Virginia. As single mom working long hours. I feel more comfortable to leave my kids in this location because even on my days off , my daughter insists to go to school. Teachers are very nice and well educated. Daughter graduated today and will go to 1st grade. Without doubt , we will be back for the summer. Kim and Marilyn are amazing to assist. Thanks for the amazing graduation party 🥳🎉 . I have only good things to say Abha and team. I sent both my sons to The Goddard School at Herndon, VA. The staff was extremely professional, caring and responsive. The curriculum was well thought out. Thank you for taking such good care of my kids!!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience at the Goddard School. Our daughter attended since she was an infant and always experienced the same level of nurturing, kindness, and growth each time she transitioned to a new classroom. The teachers and management were always easy to talk to and quick to respond to any questions we had. They continued with this same level of professionalism during the pandemic. We felt comfortable and safe with the protocols introduced and were blown away by their commitment to ensure the children received the same level of care.

Our family loved our time there and will truly miss it.

Both of my boys go to Goddard, an excellent experience, wonderful teachers. Ms Abha and Ms Minoo are the cherry on the top.

I have only good things to say on the Goddard School of Herndon (Dulles). My 2.5 year has been going since April 2021 and if we were not moving to another city, I would have kept her there since she is so happy attending. The staff is loving and kind from admin such as Mrs. Minoo and Mrs. Abha to the lovely teachers such as Mrs. Rita. My daughter has rapidly learned so many skills and her language adaptability from speaking her native tongue predominantly to speaking English in the course of a few months has blown me away. The staff take great care especially during trying times of a Pandemic and they take great caution at keeping the kids healthy and safe. If you are looking for a program where your child will love and bloom in, this is your place. I give this facility my highest recommendation. Thank you to all the staff!

Our kids loved this school! We needed a daycare for them for just a few weeks, as we were visiting the area for the summer. The owner and manager were both super responsive, helpful, and flexible. They helped me do everything online, since we weren’t able to visit the school before we got there. We felt totally comfortable enrolling our kids here, even with only having phone and email contact before they started. We were able to set up everything online with no problems. The kids had a great time at the summer camp. The programs were enriching and educational, and the splash days were a big hit. Would highly recommend.

The Goddard School provided a great foundation for Kindergarten both from an academic and emotional standpoint for our son (he was enrolled for Pre-K there for a year). From the caring teachers to the challenging curriculum (our son gets bored and tunes out when not stimulated), the school was amazing and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

My son has been going to school here for almost a year. The kindergarten class was amazing, and my son seems to be ready for first grade skill-sets both in academically and socially.
The teachers and staffs are kind, friendly, and professional. And I believe that they provided a safe and loving environment, and managed well the school system during this pandemic situation. My son really loved coming to school everyday.

I have been taking my kids to this school for over three years and I will say I couldn't be more impressed with the staff, their responsiveness and their care for family. My older one has food allergies and Goddard keeps abreast of expirations and updates. During the pandemic, I had my 5 year old participate in their Kindergarten program and she has developed really strong bonds with her friends and a passion for learning. Goddard was able to step in and help with the isolation jitters. I would recommend!! 5 stars.

The Goddard School- Herndon is such a wonderful, welcoming, happy place! My kids (2 & 5) love attending and have gotten so much from the loving care and attention of the staff. They both love learning and come home excited to share what they learned that day. Being able to send our kids to Goddard School- Herndon has been such a comfort during this pandemic. To know they are being cared for safely and are getting the stimulation and attention they deserve has given my husband and I piece of mind while we're able to continue our jobs from home.

Love Goddard Herndon location. My son was in the school since he was 5 months. He has the best baby teachers who are very loving and fun. Now with his preschool teacher, he develops a lot of essential skills and shares with me lots of happy stories with his teacher and friends. The school is very clean and organized. Goddard feels like a family to my son and us.

This is not just a daycare but a Home full of Love, tender care and support. Choosing a daycare is really hard especially to first-timer like us but we did research and found Goddard School of Herndon on top with tons of good reviews,so we contacted the director and she was so responsive and invited us to have a tour on the daycare. The first time we step inside the facility, we already felt the warmth welcome and that moment we were so sure that it’s gonna be our best decision to enroll our daughter. Ms Abha and her husband were so helpful during the enrolling process,you can always felt the sincerity of them to help parents and kids as well. Updates to my original post, below! Covid has had such a profound impact on many families. While my son had 'graduated' from Goddard and started public school - the onset of Covid let to at-home learning which was not suiting his learning needs. Goddard set-up a FANTASTIC school-age children program where my child received assistance logging into classes and completing his work. His teacher, Ms. Padmini, is so incredible. My son continues to be ahead-of-the-curve in his learning and has matured so much. He is happy and mentall heatlhy and I attribute that completely to the wonderful staff and curriculum at Goddard! THANK YOU, GODDARD!

My son has grown so much since starting with Goddard! At only 17 months, he is highly verbal, socially interactive and even knows some beginners sign-language and Spanish. Thank you, Goddard!

My husband and I wanted to thank you so much for the hard work and care you've shown our son Tristan since enrolling him at The Goddard School. Since we are first time parents, the transition to daycare was not only hard for Tristan, but hard for us! And The Goddard School was extremely helpful and understanding during this time. I cannot say enough good things about the Goddard School of Herndon - our daughter has been attending for 1.5 years and looks forward to go to school every day. She loves the amazing teachers and staff who know each student by their name, who are caring, nurturing and have kids' best interests. The daily engagement is rich in educational and developmental activities, and all in a fun and energetic manner that keeps kids engaged, entertained and socialized. A special shout-out to Ms. Roya who has been amazing and who gets consistent compliments from our girl - as parents we couldn't be happier about our child feeling loved and cared for when we are at work.
The school has several gated playgrounds in its territory to get the share of physical exercise when the weather allows. We also feel safe with COVID protocols in place, the school is very clean and tidy, very nicely...

Our daughter has been attending Goddard for the last 16 months, and we love the school, first of all Goddard has a very robust curriculum and they tailored it to the specific needs of our daughter who does have a learning opportunity due to speech delays.
The Goddard teachers and the experienced support staff are very nurturing and kind while managing and maintaining discipline in the class.
But the end customer is my daughter, and she always looks forward to going to school, and I think she resents the weekends due to school not being in session :)
The Goddard management is very approachable and pays attention to details, they make it a point to get to know the families in addition to the child.
The facility is very well maintained, with the right amount of safety and sanitization protocols in place to keep our child safe during these COVID-19 days.

The Goddard is the best daycare any parents will love to take their kids. I have a very good experience and my kids so much love it here.
