The Goddard School of Herndon

Goddard School, Herndon has been a home away from home for my young kid. We have been trusting Goddard for the last 2 years and have always been immensely overwhelmed with the love, care, and support displayed by each one of the staff members. Goddard follows a very engaging and interactive curriculum and we have seen our kid thrive and grow in the inclusive environment. Every staff member we have had the pleasure to associate with (Ms. Rita, Ms. Elise, Ms. Shruti, Ms. Lyra) has been an epitome of wisdom and guidance for the kids. They are seasoned teachers and the love and warmth that they bring to their classes is unmatchable. I also have to add that Ms. Abha and her front office team are one of the most responsive teams that I have interacted with, always available with a bright smile and willingness to help out. I recently attended a Pre-School graduation here to support the daughter of my best friend. I wanted to know about this school because of how much my friend raved about the nurturing experience all of the children receive. When I walked in I Immediately noticed the welcoming vibe from not only the owners but from all of the teachers. The children had such a happy experience and spoke with such confidence. I can tell they felt empowered. I highly recommend visiting the Goddard School of Herndon if you would like a home away from home for your child.

I can never express how much I like this daycare, I have tried several daycares for my daughter before but this was the one that we finally felt comfortable to stick to, they have exceptionally high standards specially when it comes to choosing their teachers, I have met some of the most amazing teachers in there and I always knew that my daughter was safe and well taken care of, my daughter is graduating next month after spending almost 3 years in that school, and if I ever needed an after school care, this will be my go to place, I definitely and totally recommend it.

My son has been enrolled since last July which isn’t even a year yet but I have noticed so many changes. He has learned so much and talks even more than he once did. He even comes home to share what he learns which he never did in his old school. Most recently he told me he learned Spanish and shared azul means blue! I am blown away by how much he knows already. We love the Goddard school and we know the staff loves us!

I can not recommend the Goddard School of Herndon enough! The entire front office staff and teachers are amazing. They take the time to get to know you and your child and make you really feel seen and heard. My son lights up when he sees his teachers and they go out of their way to send us daily photos and updates. The school itself is clean, updated, and very safe. I completely trust them with my child’s safety and well-being.

My daughter is 18 months now and has been attending The Goddard school since she was 6 weeks old. The owner, directors, and teachers are always so welcoming, kind, and loving as soon as we walk through the door in the morning. It is not hard to fall in love with this school. All the staff are so attentive and really make you feel like it is a home away from home for your child all while ensuring every parent knows they are not babysitting, but educating each child and setting them up for success in all pathways of learning. My daughter gets so happy and smiles every day I drop her off. They make lessons engaging and fun and really treat each child as if they were their own. That makes me feel so good. I know I can trust the Goddard School of Herndon to take good care of my daughter and set her up for success in the future. Highly recommend this school.

I cannot say enough great things about this school! Our daughter has been here for over a year and everyone from the owner and administrators to each and every teacher are just the kindest and most caring. If you want your little one to grow and learn, but also be taken care of by those who will treat them like their own, then Ms. Abha and her team are simply the best!

If I could give six stars, I would. The staff were always polite, engaged with the children, and paid close attention to the children's wellbeing. The owner/school director went above and beyond for our little family. I will always be grateful.

I encouraged everyone who is looking for a safe and professional environment for the kids to join Goddard Herndon, Virginia; we have been in Goddard Avon, Indiana since our little one was 18 months, and now he is four years 😍; we relocated from Indiana to Virginia, and fortunately, we found Abha the great Goddard owner with her amazing director Marilynn, we just started last month and we planning to stay until the kindergarten.

We absolutely love The Goddard School-Herndon. The front office staff and teachers are all amazing. Everyone feels like an extension of our family. I wouldn't trust leaving my children with anyone else. The family events (Spring Fling, Fall Fest, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Breakfast with Santa, etc.) and Parents Night Out are an added bonus that bring joy to our family. Both of our children are so happy here and we see the memories and growth they are making every day. Thank you!

Time flies. Our daughter has been in Goddard School (Herndon) for more than 1 year and half. I can't believe it. I still remember how we choose this school for our daughter.

We searched daycares/preschools in Google Map at first. Browsed photos, reviews, school websites, finally chose the ones that we were interested to schedule tours. At first, we didn't plan to visit Goddard School in Herndon becasue it's far away from our home and work place. But finally we wanted to have a try. After I went inside and took a glance, I immediately decided: here it is!

1. Building:
This school is a single building, not the lower levels of large work building, so there won't have a lot of people other than kids and their families. Less people means less disease cross infection.

2. Floor:
The whole school uses floor, not the whole carpet surface....

We have been part of the Goddard School of Herndon family for almost two years. I say family because from the moment you enter, you feel at home. The front desk staff is kind, friendly, supportive, and welcoming. This kindness and compassion extends through all of the staff at the school. My son has progressed through three classes since he has been at Goddard and the milestones he has reached in each classroom has been amazing.

As a parent, you constantly worry about your child’s safety, happiness and well being. While at work, I worry a little less because I know he is happy and safe. The teachers send pictures of him throughout the day, which is always welcome and needed especially on stressful days.

Goddard has been an amazing school for our daughter. When she had a tough time they divided the class into two so she could adjust more easily; it made all the difference and we didn't even ask for it. Ms. Candice in particular is such a great teacher and the front office staff & owner are fantastic. Can't say enough good about the school and their level of care from allergies to activities and even processes, they're fully engaged.

Our daughter just started this week but everyone from the owner to the director to the teachers are so kind. I was very nervous about putting her in daycare but they have made this transition such a positive experience. Worth every penny for the piece of mind from knowing she is being well cared for!

Nothing but nice things to say about this place. Out of all the centers visited , this one stood out the most. The leaders are so kind and caring, especially the assistant director, Ms. Marilyn.
The teachers are so nice and keep you updated on your child's progress. I love the diversity and ability to make this mom at ease with leaving her child in their care for hours. So grateful for this hidden jewel.

"A home away from home" - cliched but so appropriate for Goddard School, Herndon. We were apprehensive, confused, anxious, and wary about how our 3+ son would adjust to a school environment, given that almost 3 years of his life was spent in relative isolation - thanks to Covid. However, all our fears were allayed once he joined Goddard School, Herndon. I would like to thank each one of the faculty at the school for creating a safe and inclusive classroom for all the students, irrespective of their backgrounds. A big shout out to Ms. Abha, Ms. Marilynn, and Ms. Padmini for their warmth, care, and unwavering support to all their students and parents alike.

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing The Goddard School in Herndon is! I had to go back to work after only being on maternity leave for about 6 weeks, so sending my daughter to a daycare that young was an incredibly hard thing to do. From the moment I stepped into this school I instantly felt like this was the right place for my daughter. The entire staff is so warm, welcoming, and so easy to talk to. The rooms are a good size and they keep them very clean. I am always greeted with a smile and a good morning in the morning by the directors and/or owner. They are so friendly and always fill me in on how my daughter is doing. If I have any questions or concerns they are very quick to respond. My daughter loves them as much as she loves her teachers! Her teachers are absolutely amazing! Very attentive, very loving, and always on top of it with sending pictures, sending daily...

My son went to The Goddard School herndon two months. We LOVE it. He seems much happier than he was at his previous school, and is always excited to go to school in the morning. He is learning a lot. We absolutely love Goddard School- Herndon.

Goddard Herndon is an excellent school. The teachers and office staff are very caring and take good care of the children. The new owners Abha and her husband are great. They make sure every family is treated very well. Ms Minoo is a great and kept us updated with what is going on in the school or if there is anything going on with the child’s health. This school had been like a second home for my son. He thoroughly enjoyed going to school, learning new things everyday and making friends.

Where to start...

Being new to Herndon in 2021, our 1st priority was putting our only daughter in a summer camp. Making new friends and enjoying life after a year & a half with only mom and dad was very important to us especially during the Pandemic. We toured a few schools but none of them really hit that nostalgic environment like the Goddard School of Herndon/Dulles. From the front office and it's staff, to the layout of the school and its playgrounds; the sense of security and childlike curiosity radiates. Needless to say we kept our daughter there for 2 summer camps and Pre-K!

Going into kindergarten my child is prepared and excited to go to school. That had a lot to do with the staff and curriculum at Goddard. My wife and I rate the Goddard School a 10/10.

My son started at Goddard Dulles at 12 months old in Ms. Mimi’s class and 6 months later has now graduated to the toddler class with Ms. Candice. It was his first time in daycare so we were filled with worry but immediately felt at home! Every week our son comes home with all his weekly art projects. Ms. Mimi clearly puts a lot of work into making them adorable keepsakes with personalized touches. My son loves it there and has learned so much! I feel completely at ease and safe knowing he’s being well taken care of. I could not recommend this place more! They have fun summer events for the kiddies, an extensive curriculum, loving and knowledgeable staff and occasional fun events for the whole family to attend.
