The Goddard School of Kennesaw II was our school of choice for our daughter for 4 years - from 22 months to almost 6 years of age. Our daughter, a non-native speaker of English, learned the language and excelled academically at this school. We have received nothing but great feedback from her teacher now that she started public school. Her teacher says that our daughter needs to be accelerated in class due to her level of academic preparedness coming from her Goddard School. The school was extremely supportive of our rather "interesting" situation - a 22 months fully potty-trained toddler who did not speak a word of English at the time. The director was willing to place her in class with older kids, thus creating a more challenging situation for the teachers having to differentiate and modify instruction for our daughter, but providing the care and support our daughter needed. I am eternally grateful for how everyone at the school, not just her classroom teachers, always stepped up to help our daughter adjust at first (drop off crier!!), grow, and thrive! The director is extremely knowledgeable and was our go-to person for advice on early childhood education issues or just parenting dilemmas. The school offers Spanish classes with a super-cool native Spanish speaking teacher, has up-to-date technology (computers, SmartBoards) to support the learning of students, caters Chef's healthier choice lunch, holds field trips year round and water-days in the summer as well as various family-oriented activities throughout the year. This is a place where all children are loved and cared for by all adults in the building. My daughter asks to go visit almost every day. She says she misses her school a lot.
