The Functional Medicine Dr

Four years ago, when I was in my mid-fifties, I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus and some arthritis that had developed there. I continued to have difficulty with pain and mobility that severely affected my work as a preschool teacher. It was even difficult for me to get up from sitting in a chair. I was told by my surgeon that I would need a knee replacement once I could no longer tolerate the pain. All of this changed ten months ago, through Dr. Iduna’s simple procedure of injecting stem cells into my knees.

I appreciated Dr. Iduna’s explanation of the different stages of the healing and regenerative process. It was wonderful to have zero restrictions on movement! Since the procedure, I have been able to move as I could before my knee injury: running with the kids, jumping, kneeling, sitting cross-legged on the floor, getting up (gracefully!) from the floor, climbing stairs, and dancing.

I feel grateful to be able to work and be active without pain or concerns about movement. This procedure has radically improved the quality of my life, and I have immense respect for the body’s ability to regenerate through Functional Medicine.
