I have had the best experience at Children’s Lighthouse of Forney. The administration is extremely knowledgeable, accessible, and compassionate to your family’s needs. The teachers are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure your child succeeds emotionally and academically. You will be informed with notes and pictures throughout the day. The only complaint I would have is that I WISH I HAD ENROLLED MY SON SOONER AT LIGHTHOUSE THAN I DID. :) Read more >

We started at Children’s Lighthouse right before our baby was 4 months, we haven’t had any issues, she gets fed properly, diaper changed all the time, & she sleeps really well there — they use their own bibs & swaddles on her & the staff is all super nice. Don’t have to bring much! I love the app & getting real time updates. Putting our baby there has helped with my transition back to work. I love that there is curriculum even for babies! I really like the way they communicate with you about illnesses (the only downside to daycare) & that they offer discounted rates a few times a year if you go on vacation. Would recommend Children’s lighthouse! My son was giving me a hard time at home with potty training & his teachers fully potty trained him. He has became more social & interacts more with people around him. Also enrolled my daughter in the summer program & she loves being able to go hang out with friends as well as do activities instead of being at home. My son will continue here until he starts school next year & my daughter will be apart of the after school program this year! Read more >

This is a great place for kids. Our son has been here for 2 years & his growth and progress has been tremendous. The staff are very dedicated, and provide us with daily updates of our son. My husband and I love how clean and safe the facility is. We also love the procare app and that the staff keeps this updated for us throughout the day. For the most part, the teachers all seem super sweet and caring. We have only had a couple of instances where we thought the staff was either rude to us or our child, but our thankfully our complaints were met with concern and empathy. The price is high in my opinion, but it is comparable to other daycare's in the area. Read more >

I’m a speech therapist and I have had the pleasure of going to Children's Lighthouse on a regular basis. The owner and staff are wonderful and the facility is top notch. It’s always very clean, inviting, and fun! I love how they teach the kids sign language. I highly recommend this daycare. When I have kids, I would love for them to attend Children’s Lighthouse. We have been with lighthouse since they opened. My son has been with Ms Merle almost the whole time. She is purely the reason we are still there. Granted, Jess and Chef are 2 other staff members that get shining reports from the staff, but I am to the point I am about to pull my son.

Last year, my son was in Room 8, which was Ms Merles main room. My son loved going to school. He would ask on the weekends how many minutes until he could go back to school and would talk all night about what he learned and what he did. Not everything was sunshine and roses, we did have one little girl in his room who would pick on him, but as long as Ms Merle was in the area, she had the children on lock!

Although my kids didn’t get to attend this daycare. After finding out they didn’t offer after school pickup for intermediate kids I had to find another daycare. The owner reached out to me several times apologizing and even wishing me the best in finding a daycare that could accommodate what I need. He also mailed me a check refunding me my registration fee that I had paid already. I really appreciated that. Seems to be a pretty great daycare. Read more >

Excellent teachers and clean, welcoming environment. Great communication via the Procare app - I love getting photos throughout the day. Management does an excellent job hiring top-notch teachers and admins - truly the best! They helped my son transition from being home with me full-time to going to school full-time and he's doing so well!

In full transparency, they adhere to a strict sick policy, which means my husband and I have left work several times to go pick him up. While this may be an inconvenience to working parents, I appreciate that keeping a healthy environment is a top priority for this facility. Read more >

My daughter has attended this school since it opened last year and we love it! The facility is new and very clean. The staff is very professional and nice. They are willing to answer my questions, always are smiling, and treat my daughter so well! Her teachers really care about it and I appreciate The pictures that they send throughout the day of her activities. The staff here both front desk and classroom are very friendly and know the kids so well with their parents (very important). I don't think there could be a better place for our son other than this one. Classroom work, home work and assignments are a awesome. the kids don't just play eat and sleep, but they actually learn.
