Brian provided me with insight into myself and how it's difficult for me to ask for what I need or to ask for support.

He connected me to a core memory from my childhood where I became obsessed with the idea of saliva being gross and for a period of time was unable to swallow my own spit.

It was something that wasn't validated by those around me and I became ashamed to voice my needs (albeit they were irrational, but I was a child at the time who didn't know any better). He supported me with taking out the head trash of that narrative to step into being able to ask for support and the help that I need!
