OMG. I wish more service vendors were as good as Sterling Services.

AC went out in July while we were out of town and my oldest daughter was house sitting. Called soooo many places that were either gouging on prices or could not get the higher quality unit we wanted for weeks out. I don't know why I didn't think of Sterling first. We have used them in the past and were quite happy with the work both A/C and plumbing.

I will not be making that mistake again. Their number is now permanent on my fridge.

What made them such a good call?
First: We were out of town and I called LATE Friday. They answered right away and I explained the situation. Joe Vivonia was able to get out quickly and confirm the assessment we got from two previous companies that they unit could be repaired but is 17 years old and really should be replaced (full disclosure: we were really bad at having them maintained, Im amazed it lasted that long)
Second: Joe got back to me with options with the hour. He did not try the hard press. Just presented replacement (as well as repair) options and told me to take our time, but could be out within days if we could let him know by the next day. He followed up with me multiple times on Saturday to answer all my wifes questions. Really really pleasant to work with.
Third: They were able to install on the following Tuesday. This may seem long (3 days) to be without A/C but in 2021 supply chains, especially for the efficient higher end units is bad. Another local company said 12 weeks for the unit we wanted!
Fourth: The install. Mark came out early to survey the site to make sure everything was ready to go for his guys and the crane. Explained in detail what the process was and how they were going to do it. And that means Chad Sanderfur. He was our installer. He was A-maz-ing. So polite. Everything working the first time with our existing thermostat. Made last minute alterations we requested to ensure we were 100% happy. Afterward he didn't just disappear. He took the time to take me up (5 ton roof unit) to show me the new system, the work they did to ensure I was happy with the finishing they did (we have a flat foam roof and things can go badly if not re-sealed properly) and explain a bit about the unit and future service mile markers. By the time he cleaned up our house was already cold again.

Everyone's mileage may vary, but I cannot recommend these guys enough. They are not as well know as the various ones that spam the radio all the time (you know them all) but these guys are local and obviously dedicated to maintaining a reputation they should be proud of.
