Soflo Chefs LLC

I hired Soflo Chefs to come to our house and make dinner when I was in Miami for my bachelorette party. David, the owner, was fantastic. I chatted with him a bunch beforehand. They have a lot to choose from, and you create a menu of 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts for the night. They buy the groceries as well so you don’t have to deal with that. The team arrived 2 hours before to start cooking and they made cocktails for us as well! (We had to provide the alcohol+ingredients for that already though). The food was SOOO good. The only thing I would recommend is if you do this do not leave it to the last night – there was a lot of leftover food! Luckily a group of us stayed an extra night so between everyone eating leftovers for breakfast before checkout and the group that stayed behind eating the rest for lunch + dinner we managed to finish most of it! We had a wonderful experience with Soflo Chefs LLC! Chef Kathy came to our air bnb and cooked a fantastic meal. She was so kind and warm and took care of everything while we got to enjoy the evening. We loved working with David and his team from Soflo! Everyone was very nice, super accommodating and the food was delicious. David is an amazing chef. Ceviche was seasoned to perfection, crab stuffed salmon was mouth watering, and malanga with grilled octopus was a delight. From appetizers to torrejas for desert, the whole meal was fantastic. He did the dishes, and cleaned up in the kitchen! Definitely a 5-star experience! Read more >

Amazing meal and service! We had a family style dinner for a group of eight visiting Miami. These folks came to our Airbnb and took excellent care of us. We had the grilled octopus, churrasco and strawberry shortcake. Everyone raved about the meal and the Soflo staff. I'd definitely recommend and book them again. Read more >

We had Chef Stephanie for my father-in-law's 70th birthday party we hosted at our apartment, and everything was fantastic. Stephanie is lovely and the food was amazing. We had the scallops as an appetizer, salmon as the main, and tiramisu for dessert. Definitely recommend her, and we wouldn't hesitate to book her again! Read more >

Bottom line: the quality of the food was not worth the value ($95pp).

Pros:

David was extremely responsive to questions and changes in preparation for an 8 guest brunch.

The menu choices were impressive (stuffed French toast, chicken & waffles).

Cons:
Chef Norma was pleasant but forgot some ingredients so left while preparing our meal. They promised the meal would be ready 12:00pm, but it ended up being 12:45pm. For a party with an itinerary, that was not okay.

The food was the biggest disappointment. The fried chicken was dry. We are from the south, you can’t mess up fried chicken. The waffles were equally dry, overcooked. We had to force ourselves to eat the chicken & waffles when they were supposed to be the star of the show.

Amazing experience with Soflo chefs!!! Will recommend 100%!! chef stephanie came early with top quality ingredients. She did an out of this world dinner for us. The best part was not only the incredible flavors, but that she organized everything in the kitchen and at the end of the dinner the house was in perfect state.

I hired Soflo Chefs for a neighborhood party having never had them help me before. The party was less than a week away, but they took the job. It was just a pleasure working with them. They responded immediately via both email and text and accommodated any requests we had. The day of they were on time and very professional. The food was excellent and many of my guests commented on just how terrific the staff was. They remembered guests requests, were there when needed and cleaned up thoroughly before they left.
