Smokin Fattys

Another great establishment in Elkhart. We had a party of nine, and everything was delicious. Everyone’s meats were tender, with very generous portions of sides/appetizers. Fried pickles, loaded nachos, and delicious wings to start. Entrees were a good mix between entrees and salads, which everyone enjoyed. Our server worked the table well, but it did feel forcibly rushed. I understand though because we were in there close to closing time, but again, it was so very quick. Whatever, the quality of the food along with generous portions eclipse any social faux pas.

The food will make u want to eat until you cant...and then want 2 have just a little more!! It was my 1st time and i went w the 4 bone ribs, they were amazingly good. Fall off the bone, smokey but not dry, not too fatty, savory meaty delights! The sides i chose were baby potatoes (loaded w queso) and elote corn...both were excellent!!!! I will have a hard time choosing other sides in the future...they were that good! As an appetizer i had the jalepeno hush puppies...Also wonderful!!! They have a sweet spread that pairs very nicely with the cornmeal and jalepeno flavor to make a rich delightful treat! I will say the portions here make this a where you honestly dont need a ton of appetizers to leave full and satisfied. Another point was the service... our server was great! Fast and friendly but not intrusive. Pricing is consistent...

Food was outstanding, decent beer selection. Will come again, but will be a date night for the wife and I due to the price.

"This food and service was the best. A few friends and I were visiting in town and needed a place to eat. This was suggested and we were not disappointed. The melt in your mouth cornbread to the blackberry bread pudding. Making plans to go back. Worth the drive."

We’ve been meaning to try this place since they opened, and I’m mad at myself that it’s taken us this long because WOW! From the service to the food, there was no let down. The parking lot was packed when we pulled in which was encouraging. We walked in and both hostesses were friendly and conversational with us. Our server (Alisha) greeted us promptly with a warm welcome. They were busy yet no one seemed to look overwhelmed and flustered. Alisha gave us several recommendations and was eager to serve us. She was accommodating and knowledgeable on the menu. She honestly came across that she loved being there and was fast-pace with all her service. Great place! First time here. Food was great service was great! Old fashions were good. Also had one of my favorite beers on draft. Shiner Bock. Great atmosphere. Our waitress, Avery, was super nice, very responsive. Not like some where u can tell they hate their job so they treat their customers with zero personality. Will definitely come back. Love this place and the chubby trout. From Warsaw, worth the trip.
