Amazing place. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of hands on learning, no TVs in the infant or toddler rooms (I don’t know about the other ones). We started SHBD last month and could not be happier with our choice. Our daughter joined at 12 weeks old and transitioned seamlessly into the program. The teachers in the bunny room, specifically Ms. Amanda and Ms. Danielle are so wonderful and show they truly care about every child. Our daughter lights up with a smile when she sees them and you can tell she really loves her teachers. The director Ms. Stephanie always asks how everything is going and checks in to make sure we are doing well. Even in a month we have seen vast improvement on motor skills and milestones. We love SHBD Kirtland! Our son has been enrolled since he was 12 weeks old. He has great relationships with all his teachers and so many of his buddies have been in his class from the beginning. He gets bummed out every weekend when he doesn't get to go to school. We have had an excellent experience at SHBD-kirtland. My son’s teachers are both very kind, helpful, and encouraging. They give updates and pictures consistently. On a recent parent-teacher phone call, his teacher worked to understand his interest so she can further assist him with learning and get to know him better. The teachers, parents, and management team all work in collaboration to ensure the growing success of each child in the class. We have been pleased with the care and curriculum that Small Hands Big Dreams has offered our children. We have always felt confident dropping off our kids, knowing that they are safe and cared for while we are at work. We have had our children attend small hands for the past six years, even through COVID, and we could not be happier with them. We love getting picture updates throughout the day and being able to see them on video whenever we’d like.

They have always worked with us in helping accomplish goals for our children (potty training, separation anxiety, etc.).

Worked here for about 5-6 months and I miss the children so much they will always hold a place in my heart, wish I could see their little faces. I worked mainly with the penguins aka the 3-4 year olds and they know how to count to 30 and they know all their shapes, colors and alphabet. They have a well structured and organized room. SHBD has been a home to our kids for the past two years. Ms. Alannah is one of the main reasons our twins enjoy going to school every day. She makes learning enjoyable. I cannot recommend this daycare enough! My son has been attending for over four years now, and we have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and always go above and beyond to ensure that the children are happy, healthy, and engaged.

My son's current teacher, Ms. Alannah has made an amazingly strong impact on him. She has a natural warmth and energy that instantly puts children at ease. She is always patient, kind, and understanding with her students, and she creates a fun and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow.

Madelyn loves spending time with her friends at Small Hands. We have been in attendance for about 3 years. The teachers are always kind and welcoming with well-planned activities each day. Recently, Madelyn transitioned into an older classroom which scared her a little. She loved her time with Ms. Kiersten! Our experience with SHBD in Kirtland has been great! Communication has been open and they work well with the parents on behavioral issues. Our twins started attending when they were 3 and will be 5 in a few months. All of their teachers have been wonderful, but they’re currently with Ms. Alannah and we’re so thankful for her. What a wonderful place to have your kids during the day. You can tell all the staff really cares about your children and they have all sorts of activities planned for them everyday. We’ve been at SHBD for a year now and love it there! We’ve had good experiences in every room that our kids have been in. All of the staff has been very caring and friendly. Our three year old is currently in Ms. Alannah’s room and absolutely adores her. She plans such fun activities for the kids and it’s so awesome to see what he’s learned in her classroom. He is always smiling and happy at the end of the day. Our twins are in the Duckling room with Ms. Dominique and have so much fun with her. We really enjoy seeing the artwork they bring home or new skills they learn there (such as signing “more” and “all done”) and it’s very clear she cares about her children. They totally changed my perception of what I thought daycare was. Small Hands Big Dreams has completely raised the bar in childcare and early education. I am impressed with each aspect of the Kirtland facility. The staff is amazingly friendly…I was thoroughly impressed with almost every teacher knowing every kids name (even if the 2yr old wasn’t in their classroom yet). It’s quite comforting to be honest. That leads me to transparency. I love getting the photo updates of activities throughout the day on their app. I also appreciate the ability to check in on the classroom through their livestream app. Talk about peace of mind. I enjoy getting to see them learn new skills (through actual curriculum, and the teachers ask you for specific things you’d like your child to work on in particular)…from learning to use silverware, to different painting techniques. My son absolutely loves coming to school everyday! He is currently in the bunny room and started at 9 weeks old. Since day one he was given a positive experience with all of the love given to him from his teachers. He loves seeing his teachers Ms. Amanda, Ms. Danielle and Ms. Alex every day! When I drop him off he has a big smile on his face. I look forward to the updates and pictures they send through out the day of him it means so much to me when I get them. Academically I am so impressed with the activities they do with him! They sing, read, go on buggy rides outside and do sensory activities with him and he always looks like he is having so much fun! The teachers and staff are so nice and loving. The place is always clean and organized. They have an app I can access to see my child’s activities and another app where I can see her live. We love Small Hands Kirtland! Our two kiddos love all their teachers and as parents we couldn’t be happier. The kids learn so much and so well. The teachers really put in a TON OF WORK to make sure each day is special for each kid. It’s always a blast hearing our little ones tell us all the fun things they did each day along with what they’ve learned.

The teachers also do an excellent job using and updating the childcare apps so you can see some of the excitement each day. It’s a well managed and maintained facility as well as being in an excellent location. We love it! Read more >
