Andre Banard did a wonderful job inspecting and evaluating my future home. He educated me along the way as to how I would take care of the place on my own - furnace, keeping basement dry, checking that smoke detectors work, water shut off, install sump pump.... I can do it all now! and I know when to call an expert. I received a detailed report that will aid in my negotiations with the seller. The report is very factual and unbiased. Andre looked at things I would have never thought of nor would have the expertise to evaluate - HVAC and electrical system, e.g. The 3 hours we spend looking into every aspect of my future home was wonderful. He was professional and amiable s he evaluated the home and kept me informed of his thoughts - is this a structural or a cosmetic fix? is this essential for your safety? is the water heater in need of replacement or can I get few more years out of it? I recommend SIS not only for the marvelous home inspection, but also for the services Andre informed me about - free membership to the homeowner advise service"PORCH" and free energy audit, (including 8 $25-off coupons for handyman work booked thru"Porch").
