I came to Dr. Wannegman and San Diego Naturopathic at the end of my rope with my health. I had too many things going on and traditional medicine was only masking symptoms and leading to more issues. What I have received through this program is a very clear picture of the what is going on with my health at a cellular level, education that is helping me make the best choices and supplement and medication recommendations that are supporting my body’s ability to heal itself. I came into this program on the back of two emergency hospitalizations - one for blood clots in leg and lungs, and one for a kidney infection caused by a fibroid uterus compressing my ureter. I started my plan with Dr.Wannigman in August of 2025 in support of my wife who had some sleep issues. At the time I did not believe I needed attention also. I had an ongoing sinus problem I had for years, just accepted that it was never going change. Not only has that problem gone away, but I have also not been to my regular doctor or urgent care once since we started. In every other year, Kaiser has me in urgent care for sinus infection at least twice per year. The Program is excellent if you follow the process. But you need to be honest with yourself and the team. Your body and the labs that are done tell the tale of your journey. There will be times weight loss slows down, but inches go away. Track your progress. It helps to see how you are doing. Once your gut health improves you will find some things you used to eat will not agree with you.

I have been doing Functional Medicine since 2007. Well back then they didn't call it that. One of the main reasons I chose Dr. Wannigman he ia a Pharmacist first! I have been a patient of Dr. Wannigman's since 2017 and the only doctor I have trusted. Unlike General Practitioners he finds and treats the cause of health issues, not the symptoms. I was diagnosed clinically depressed. His thorough testing found the cause for my depression - hormonal - I had been working 13 to 15 hour days at work for several months. I've been feeling off for years. Fatigue, brain fog, exhaustion, enormous weight fluctuations, and a host of other symptoms were slowly draining my vitality. I would give 100 stars!! Words can not explain what this Dr. And office staff have done to help me. 4 months ago I had so much inflamation in my body, I had migraines, couldn't sleep, I was moody and honestly did not enjoy living. I had been going to my primary Dr. Then a foot specialist and then a foot surgeon and was scheduling surgery for a torn ligament in my foot. This surgery would take me out for at least 12 weeks.
