I've always had great steaks here at reasonable prices! Great place to take my guests .. but would suggest getting early to dinner time or later than usual (Just that popular). Had 9 oz Filet with Salad, Baked Potato and Sweet Tea. Steak cooked perfect Medium Rare and tasty moist. The Baked Potato properly prepped, Seasoned with Generous Butter and Sour Cream. Bread served warm, delicious and with butter as well. Sweet Tea was Correct level of sweetness too.
This is my new favorite restaurant in town! My husband is starting a new job out of town so we decided to go somewhere new before he left. This was the perfect choice. The food is FANTASTIC! We both got the beef tips in rice and gravy. They are better than my grandmother's (and that says something)! The service was great as well. Julia was out server and she was very friendly and personable. She played right along with mine and my husband's banter like she'd known us all our lives. I recommend this place to anyone who likes good home southern cooking.
Super yummy onion ring appetizer, steaks, bread, and salads. Water is not good, and I’m okay with any water tap or bottled, but something is off about the water served here. I always seem to forget and then have to order a drink and notify the waitress each time. Wait staff service is always delightful, this restaurant is very welcoming and family friendly. My only compliant is with the hostess, we do not mind waiting to be seated but acknowledgment would be nice. We’ve been back numerous times since our initial visit in January, each time it’s the same issue with the hostess ignoring guests until she’s ready to seat them. We’re used to it and keep coming back for the outstanding food and hospitality, but the look on the faces of some as they wait and seek the attention or acknowledgement is frustrating. I get she’s busy cashing out guest checks, changing out bills for wait staff but it’s something that needs attention/improvement.
We stopped at at Samuel's when we decided to stop in Crestview for the night on a road trip. Their credit card machine was down but we did have enough cash so we ordered the full size fried shrimp special. They were some of the best fried shrimp I have had in awhile! He ordered the ribeye and added the lobster tail, and we shared them all. I almost forgot we had the fried crab claw appetizer. It was all delicious! Our server was great considering we showed up about 30 minutes before they were closing. I am glad we found this little gem!
