We're carneverts! :) While we are not vegetarian, our family sides on the low-meat end of the spectrum. But I do buy high quality meat because the industry standards of "profits-first" really bothers me from a health standpoint as well as the deplorable treatment of the animals. My order with Ruby Mountain Foods has met and exceeded my expectation without a doubt. The meat was delivered when expected and we've thoroughly enjoyed every cut we've tried. Last night I put a rump roast (it was almost free of any fat, no trimming was necessary) in the crockpot with some onions and a jar of Herdez Guacomole Salsa and this morning my family descended on it to make Tostada Grandes (so much for dinner plans!). They all thought it was better than the local Mexican restaurant we love. I've also made chili, stew, and barbecued steak with the same results. Happy kids with happy stomachs. I know that the Sorenson family cares about the health of their cattle and feed them from the soil up, I can feel so good about having my family eat this beef!
