I bought the Powerlift Dumbwaiter to replace an old, DIY unit my dad had MacGyvered when he built the house back in the 80s. Working with Powerlift was great. The engineering was spot-on and everything fit. I was able to install the Powerlift Dumbwaiter into the existing shaft with the existing doors by myself with the assistance of the old unit's winch and lift cable. However, for a DIY install without the use of a winch, I would highly recommend an extra pair of hands.

Larry at Powerlift Dumbwaiter is fantastic! Rather than overcharge me for a part, he took the time to help me troubleshoot whether I really needed the part (which it turns out I didn't). It's hard to find honest vendors these days, so his care for my problem really stood out!

I like Powerlift Dumpwaiters because it has been dependable without repairs for about 10 years. When it started to not stop where it should I talked to Larry Reite and he told me what I needed to do. That was a great help since I live in PA and Powerlift Dumbwaiters, Inc. Is located in CA. It has saved me hundreds of climbs up and down the steps. I take my groceries out of the car downstairs, push a button and they are near my kitchen. I have lived in this house for 45 years. It is a two story house and I would have to move if I had to move everything including laundry up & down the stairs. Thanks again Larry for helping me troubleshoot my dumbwaiter.

I spoke with Larry about a replacement door latch for my dumbwaiter he ask me to send him some pictures. He advised he didn't sell that latch but sent me a amazin link for me to purchase a replacement latch. He didn’t have to do that as he made nothing from me. What he did do is gain a future customer.

Our tech, Larry Reit, did a fantastic job. He answered numerous emails, patiently guiding us through a troubleshoot of our unit. When our electrician arrived to assist us, Larry called and explained carefully and clearly how to check the voltages, safety switches and door switches. I did not purchase my 15 year old Powerlift Dumbwaiter, it came with the house. Recently my dumbwaiter stopped working. While I was trying to figure out who could/would fix it I realized how much I appreciate it. I ended up calling Powerlift and spoke with Larry Reite (brother of the owner). He found all the information about my lift in seconds and was able to talk me through a fix. It took maybe 45 minutes. It was so rewarding to solve the mystery with the help of this man! I am not particularly handy but Larry was patient and persevering. It turned out that the problem was the upper floor door was not closing tightly enough to complete the circuit so the safety mechanism was activated. Wow..it was fun. It is crucial to consider the level of service with a product like this.

I absolutely love having a dumbwaiter in my house. It's a lifesaver!
BUT the best part of this company is the customer service. Today, we had some technical difficulties with it due to our own mistakes. I know nothing about electrical wiring, but I called the company for help. I wasn't expecting Larry (who is the absolute best) to very kindly and helpfully walk me through everything and I mean everything! I had no idea what I was doing and I was so sure I wasn't going to be able to fix the problem without paying for someone to come. However, thanks to Larry, the issue is resolved and I cannot be happier! Thank you for a wonderful product but more importantly for a wonderful customer service!

I purchased a Powerlift Dumbwaiter for my new home which was built in 2004-05. Sixteen years later it is still running without a hitch and has hauled countless loads of groceries and other items up and down between my kitchen and lower level basement entrance. I could not manage without it.

Larry and his staff are so knowledgable and helpful. I have had my dumbwaiter for over 15 years, it has been reliable and such a blessing. Recently we updated the electronics and safety features, but one small little door switch decided to fail. Larry walked me through the diagnostics and we were able to find the problem and fix it. I have and will continue to recommend the products.

We ordered a dumbwaiter and Mezzlift from Powerlift Dumbwaiters and they are working great. Purchase experience was smooth and Larry was very helpful with guiding us through the installation process.

They have been helpful with a few maintenance questions over the years. When you call a person, not a computer, says hello. Our unit is still working very well, just as on the 1st day. It is very well built and I imagine it will work fine for the life of the house. We use it almost daily. When I give a review sometimes, I ponder how many stars to give. This was an easy one. No question they deserve 5 stars!

I imagined it had seized up just a little. I called Brian with a few questions I had. He was superb in his customer support. In my area I know of no one else with a dumbwaiter. I would give it FIVE STARS so far.

The customer service is the I seen in years! Telephones are answered immediately and each and every question is answered in detail. The product comes shipped perfectly with no damage each time we order one for our next project. Great Company!

Purchased a P-100 in 2017 and installed myself in early 2018. Very easy install with excellent instructions and support from factory. The unit has been operating flawlessly ever since.
