When a big rainstorm during the winter brought too much water into my finished basement in my house in New England, I phoned two firms for a quote. I called Peniel because I had used them in the past to remove the mold in the attic of a previous house, and they had done a good job. They constructed a plastic air barrier near the base of the stairs leading into the basement, and then ripped out the stinky damp carpet and pad, and cut off the drywall and baseboard in all of the wet areas of my basement. They had a dumpster delivered to my house, and put all of the bagged carpet and pad and drywall into the dumpster. They were helpful, and helped us to move out a few pieces of old furniture that we had decided to get rid of that were very heavy. They sent a crew of three, and were done in three days. They even cut out a few areas that were not in the original estimate that we requested them to address. They conducted testing to confirm the absence of mold in the area, and sent me the lab test results. I was very pleased with not only the speed of their response, but the friendliness of their workers, and the quality of their work. I would not hesitate to recommend Peniel for responding to any water, asbestos or mold abatement project.
