The OurTownAmerica program harks back to the 1980s when I first moved to this country and actually had a Welcome Wagon person visit with a gift basket and discount coupons. Then there was nothing close to help me transition me into my next two homes in Connecticut. The OurTownAmerica makes me feel like I got lucky again for what may be my last move as I retire to California, for a better quality of life worth the high rent here.
