I can't say enough good things about OUR HOUSE! I am about to write a novel but please stay tuned as I have a lot to say about how well they have taken care of my two bonded pair rescues!
I have two rescues. One specifically is considered "special needs" because he has a paralyzed paw and has to wear a custom prosthetic brace so his foot does not drag when he walks and runs. His brace has to be taken off before he goes to bed and his paw has to be wiped off with a special cleaning wipe as well as the brace.
You'd think that a vet could handle this simple task; yet, when I boarded my bonded pair for the first time, my vet of 30+ years neglected my instructions and his paw got severely infected. I searched for other places to board my boys and was told that "we cannot care for or accommodate a special needs dog" - that is, until my dog groomer recommended OUR HOUSE.
I have boarded my boys multiple times with OUR HOUSE and they have received nothing but top notch care each time. Everything is clean and sanitary and the staff is warm and friendly. I'd like to especially brag on Kate as she has gone above and beyond to make my boys feel loved and that they are taken well care of during their stay. Kate also was the staff member that gave me a tour of OUR HOUSE and answered all of my questions and concerns. I really appreciated her candor and transparency during the tour. She also took the time to learn how to properly put on and remove my dog's prosthetic brace and how to clean it and made sure that anyone else that was going to be removing or cleaning his brace/paw knew how to properly do it. Lastly, she is always so excited to see the boys each time they come in for their stay which makes my helicopter dog mom anxiety go away because I know they are in such great hands.
Lastly, I love the fact that they offer add on services to their stay like cuddle time, group play, and bath/nail trim. I also like that they have different types of rooms available for what best fits the needs of your dogs.
