I'm a new patient. Unfortunately, my employment health coverage changed midstream, and I had to find a new one. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. ALL the staff, from reception desk to Dr. Matta was friendly and courteous. Examination was through, and Dr. Matta explained what testing showed and what would be done to address issues. "Looking" forward to additional treatment. Will keep you posted!

Overall, excellent doctors, assistants, and facility. I only knocked a star off because the wait for your appointment can be easily 30-45 minutes more than your scheduled time. It is a very busy place. Still, if you're prepared for that extra wait, I highly recommend.

I had a great experience at Ophthalmology Associates of Staten Island for my routine annual eye exam. The staff was thorough, and the testing they do is very in-depth to ensure an accurate prescription. Dr. Sara Hanna was incredibly sweet, professional, and made me feel very comfortable throughout the visit.

The only thing I wish had been clarified beforehand was the issue regarding contact lenses. I was initially told I’d be prescribed contacts, but later learned from the doctor that they couldn’t accommodate me for them. I’m not sure if it’s due to my vision or another reason, but some clarity upfront would have been appreciated.

Aside from that, I really like this office and definitely plan to return for my annual exams. I felt well cared for and confident in the provider’s expertise.
