Odyssey Early Learning Academy

Our son has attended Odyssey for the last three years, and it has been a wonderful experience. It's a wonderful facility that is staffed by great people. The teachers are always so positive, patient, and kind, and they genuinely care about the children in their care. Every day for the last three years, they have greeted our son with a smile in the morning when we drop him off. The teachers make every effort to make every day special and exciting. The use of the BrightWheel app keeps us connected to what our son is doing while he is at Odyssey. It's great to see pictures of him having fun with his friends during the day. As a working parent, it's a relief to know your child is loved and cared for during the day when you're not together.

Odyssey's program strikes a nice balance between educational activities and letting kids be kids. We're confident our son is ready...

I can’t say enough good things about Odyssey. My daughter went here for about 1 year. The only reason she is no longer there is because we live in Dallas. The school is well run, the administration is extremely communicative, the teachers are loving and care for the children deeply and the school was kept SO clean. My daughter loved going to school and I will forever be grateful to Amanda for running such a wonderful place. I can only hope to find a new place to my little one that is comparable.

Amanda has handled every issue we have had with care and compassion. They are attentive and have navigated the covid pandemic with honesty and transparency. I really respect that. They are fair and we have been very happy with our experience. I highly recommend Odyssey. Also Lilli does a great job providing organic anf healthy meal options for the kids!

Odyssey and the teachers are amazing and truly love the kids. Our daughter have bad been going to odyssey for almost 2 years from 3.5 months old and she loves it. The teachers are so loving and the lesson planning is great. Totally recommend odyssey!

i have my son going to the daycare and soon my little one. I have only good words for this daycare. it is clean, teachers are great and the administration is always looking on improving things. the rooms are awesome for kids . I totally recommend it and if you have any question just bring it up and we will try to answer.

We could not have been more pleased with our decision to send our daughter to Odyssey. We cannot say enough about the administration, facility and the staff. Our daughter was happy and cared for during her time there. We never had to worry about how she was because we trusted her caretakers so much. Unfortunately, we moved and had to start our daughter at a new daycare- and Odyssey has really set the bar high. Not all daycares are created equal- and families considering sending their children here will not regret it. We miss it so much!

My daughter has spent almost three wonderful years at this school and just finished her last day before kindergarten. After having a bad experience at a different school and this one being new to the area at the time. We were nervous. But boy, did we make the right decision. They have been there through all the good and bad. Helped potty train our daughter, saved her life when she went into anaphylaxis, help her learn and meet every milestone, and most importantly loved her like she was their own child. They have always been so open and we’re always there when we had questions or concerns. Most are parents themselves and those who aren’t treat the kids like they are their babies. Our son was in the infant room for almost 9 months and had the most caring teachers! The atmosphere in the infant room never seemed chaotic or overwhelming and our son was welcomed with open arms and big smiles every morning!

Our son has been in the infant room at Odyssey for a couple of months now and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the love and care he is receiving! It’s hard leaving your baby behind when you have to go to work, but the wonderful team at Odyssey makes me feel like I’m leaving him with family. I also love the photos they send me every day!

Our son has been enrolled at Odyssey for the better part of a year now, and overall we are very happy. The teachers are great, the facility is new and very clean, and the Brightwheel app is really nice for us to see updates on our son since both of us work (in the app the teachers can post pictures of activities, detail when he has potty breaks and meals, and send updates about the school). Best of all our son seems to have a great time there. Like most parents we looked at several day cares before making a decision and we are glad we ended up at Odyssey.

They take care our son, the most precious thing in our lives. I can see the passion and dedication day after day. Is not just a daycare but a real learning center. The improvement Isaac had in the year and 1/2 since he started, it's incredible. Thank you and I highly recommend to everyone who is looking for the best place for your little ones.

Our boy girl twins started going here in June and we (and them) absolutely love it! Whenever we pull into the driveway to drop them off for the day, they both starting clapping which is adorable. We were nervous to send our kids to a new school as I am sure most parents are but the teachers and staff here are really great and comforting. They have a fun daily activity schedule that keeps the kids entertained while also learning. They also have a really nice way of keeping the parents updated throughout the day of what the kids are doing (whether it's with fun pictures or letting us know their eating and potty habits). If you ever have a question during the day about how your child is doing, the staff is VERY responsive with getting back to you (which is very refreshing as a parent). We also find it nice that food is included with the cost of tuition as well as you store diapers...

We love Odyssey! As a first time mom and a newbie to the Winthrop area I was nervous to leave my 4 month old at a new place. When we met Amanda, all of that anxiety went away! Amanda and her staff are simply incredible. My little boy absolutely adores his teachers and has such a blast playing with his buddies all day long. My husband and I couldn't be more thrilled about choosing Odyssey as our baby's home away from home.

Our 7 month old son goes there 5 days a week full day. He has been in the infant group for 4 months now, and every day at drop off, I witness his huge smile when he sees his caregivers, particularly Miss Linda and Miss Jen. As many working moms do, I feel a lot of guilt when leaving my baby at a daycare center. It eases the pain when you know your baby is well cared for and feels loved throughout the day. The staff are all loving and experienced - many are moms themselves. Miss Linda made some great and successful suggestions for gas and spit up issues we were dealing with. We were very grateful for the advice. They take the babies out on walks often - you may have seen them walking around town with a gigantic stroller full of cuties! My daughter is going to Odyssey early learning academy for almost a year now. She started when she was 4 months old in the infant section and she is now in the toddler 1 group. I love that The atmosphere of the daycare is like family style. The premises are great and full of light. They have an outdoor space and a gym space. The teachers are super friendly and the director will do her best to accommodate your wishes. I felt in the infant group that they could do more group activities like crawling pathways or reading/singing circle but really hard to do as the infant group has so many differences of development stage....but at that moment the most important thing was that my baby received all the love she needed from her teacher to make her feel good there and it was the case and even more than what I would have expected.

We were so worried about sending our 2 yo (mostly non-verbal) son to daycare for the first time (he's our first). Odyssey gave us a run down on what to expect and how to handle it. And of course they were right, our son settled in and began enjoying himself after a few weeks just like they suggested he would. Everyone at Odyssey is incredibly patient, kind and understanding. My son loves going to odyssey and he adores his teachers. His dad and I love that they are always willing to work with us and help us with our nutty schedule, they have an open door policy, the facility is huge, clean and awesome! Outdoor play space is fantastic. There's a park right down the street. They provide the kids breakfast, lunch and snacks. And they use the brightwheel app which is a log of my son's activities (food, potty, play, etc) and they upload pics of him all day so that I (and my family) can look...

Odyssey provides excellent childcare! My son has been attending for the past year, and I know he's in a safe, fun and loving environment! The teachers are incredible and Amanda, the Executive Director, is truly the most caring person who goes above & beyond each day! The Brightwheel app is amazing! Our son has been attending Odyssey part-time since April! He loves it so much that we are putting him in full-time starting next week. He is learning so much and everyone is extremely nice. We feel confident that he is in a great learning environment that is also nurturing!

As a grandparent I am in love with this facility. We can see our grandson on their bright wheel feature throughout the day .They offer excellent programs and healthy food .The staff is loving and attentive to the children.They get regular exercise and outdoor play whenever weather is permitting.They even have Karate once a week provided on site but solely handled by Cervizzi Martial Arts . They take the children to the beach and beautiful Lewis Lake to the park . We feel fortunate to know he is so well cared for !

My daughter didn't start out of the home care until two- so you can imagine I was worried how she'd react on her first day. She didn't want to leave! We're 3 months in and she loves it. My husband and I have noticed her language and ability to express herself has grown exponentially and things like taking turns/sharing come easier to her since beginning at Odyssey.

I will also add that their use of the Brightwheel app has made this first time mom's launch into daycare MUCH easier. Being able to see her activities during the day makes me feel connected to her when I have to be at work.
