Oak Leaf Kids Academy

My kids have been at Oak Leaf going on a year this June. The transition in ownership and staff wasn't easy (especially for the remaining staff and new owners) My kids love going to school every day and are progressing as they should be. This school has been amazing for my son. He has been attending oak leaf since he was 6 months old and have not had any issues. He is now in Ms. Kristi's room and she has done an amazing job in teaching him all the preSchool basics. Read more >

Oak Leaf has been an amazing school for both of my kids ages 2 and 4. They have Ms. Christy and Ms. M. Both are amazing teachers. Oak Leaf Kids Academy is a phenomenal center. I am impressed with how the new management has been able to bring an emphasis on academics into the classroom setting all while also fostering an environment for social growth. I loved how they demonstrated the circle of life using Ladybugs and Butterflies . My grandson is in the three year old class and he kept talking about it. I want to start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews on companies regardless if my experience is horrible or great. However, I feel like I need to spread awareness to my experience with this daycare.

My son starting attending this daycare prior to the new lady taking ownership. We've never had any issues until the new owner took over.
Constantly seeing new faces and the staff do not even know your children by name.

Today, my 8 year old son was able to walk out of the front door without anyone knowing or stopping him. He was walked to the back of the school where the after schoolers wait for the morning bus run. My boyfriend was able to walk all the way back out front to the canopy, strap our two year old into the car, get into the drivers seat, start the car & put it into gear, and then my son comes out and starts pulling on the door handle and... Worst. Daycare. Ever. Very racist and dirty. The kids aren't fed well. The sleeping mats are falling apart. The toys 20+ years old. New teachers every other day. The Director of the school used to be the cook. Run don't walk away from this school! You'll be happier and so will your children. Don't let the positive reviews fool you. My daughter took my grandaughter to this school for about 2 weeks she came home filthy everyday her hands and face and had a dirty diaper. Not to mention she never had a diaper rash and within 2 days had a severe one. It's taking me a lot of courage to write this. The sound and thought of this place makes me sick to my stomach. If your a mother i know you've felt that gut feelings that something is not right..My son everyday i would drop him off he would cry and tell me he didn't want to be there he didn't like it there i would pick him up and instantly feel sick to my stomach he would run to me for dear life and rush me out the place with this sad look on his face like something was wrong. His classroom was a disgusting mess everyday. Something tells me he was neglected and possibly abused in some way i don't even want to imagine. I also believe his teachers were on there phones most the time. His drink somehow got mixed up by a completely different looking sippy cup and this happened twice each time i said something about it and was apologized to for it and told it wouldn't happend again 3RD TIME... My son has been going here for 2 years now and we love it! The teachers are awesome, they taught my son sign language before he was 1 year old. Nice facility and the office staff is very helpful and understanding. We are never going anywhere else! Read more >

I absolutely love this daycare. 'Y daughter has been going there since she was 8 weeks old. We love her infant room teachers she is always happy and jumping out of my arms to go to her teachers when I drop her off and happy when I pick her up. Even though she is an infant they do so many things with them like baby yoga, singing and the weekly artwork. I drive 15 minutes out of my way just to take her to this daycare because I love it so much, I wouldn't want my daughter going to any other daycare other than oak leaf Read more >

Let me start out by saying I don't know what I would do without the ladies in the front. Mrs. April will do anything to help with any situation and her office staff make sure I am aware of everything going on with my kids. Their communication is outstanding to say the least:). My kids have been coming to Oak Leaf for over a year now and sometimes I can't even get them to leave the daycare in the evening. When my children first attended this daycare it was nice and we loved it you could tell that the staff really cared. When they changed management and front office staff a lot of teachers quit. Then it seemed like they started hiring everyone and anyone. They hired a lot of teenage kids that you could tell really didn't really care about the kids . Every time I came to pick up my kids they are always running around without a teacher present and every other week there is a new teacher because they quit. They stay over teacher to kid ratio. I even had some teachers message me after they quit saying how bad it is up there and how other teachers don't watch or care for the kids properly. My biggest fear about resuming my career after being a SAHM for 4 years was finding the right childcare for my 4 yo and at the time 4 mo old. The staff at oak leaf have been an answer to a very protective mothers prayers. Mrs. April goes above and beyond the ensure the quality of care for each and every one of the kiddos. This daycare is a life saver! My daughter loves going here and the staff is perfect. Everyone at the front office is super helpful, informative, and very polite. My daughter and I are always greeted with a smile.
The class rooms are clean and the teachers have always taken the time to tell me how her day went and what they worked on that day. Even if I have additional questions to ask they dont seemed annoyed, they are very polite and understanding. I also really like that they also have a good choice of elective activities that are age appropriate like dance, music, soccer, basketball, they also do book readings, and around the holidays.

My daughter really enjoys going here and she always comes home talking about everything they did that day. I highly recommend this daycare for anyone! Read more >

We love Oak Leaf Kids Academy. From the front office to the back of the building, the employees are amazing. They truly care about Gabriel's education and well-being. He has been going there for two years and loves his teachers past and present. I appreciate that they are so friendly and communicate openly with me regarding Gabriel's care. Since my work day is sometimes really long and starts early in the morning, their hours are perfect for my schedule. Gabriel is almost always excited to go to school even at 6am and has cried on occasion when I picked him up to take him home. He loves his classmates and has a great relationship with other students throughout the school. When I pick him up and ask hime how his day was, his response is most often "Great!" Oak Leaf has been one of the most put together facilities I've been to. My daughter has been going to oak leaf for over a year now and loves it. The staff is well put together and there is little drama. My daughters teachers are very well spoken and are very easy to talk to.
