The Goddard School of Folsom

As a family, our top priority is safety and care for our child as he attends school. We find that it is a safe place when we enter and sign our child in. With special codes for each family and an app to unlock the door; it feels like it is Goddard's priority. We are also told not to hold the main door open for people behind us. In each classroom, there is a door reinforcement that is used in case of intruders. Furthermore, the care provided by our son's teacher is welcoming and sweet, we can tell she cares and enjoys her job.

We chose Goddard for many reasons, here are a couple:

Using an app to communicate his activities throughout the day which, includes pictures. The app shares with parents what they had for snack, notes from the teacher and reminders.

We enjoy the events put on throughout the year for the school community such as a Valentine's dance, Winter singing performance, Book fair, teacher appreciation and a Trunk or treat for Halloween. We love how we get to connect with families during these times put on by the staff. Also, the Summer activities are a blast with visitors from the community like, Yoga, a puppet show, and science experiments.

The extra activities such as soccer, music, dance, amazing athletes, etc. (separate from tuition). I enjoy signing our son up some classes to help him follow different directions and get out and move his body.

Our son is in Pre-K and we love watching him use the Smart Board, learning how to write and will learn some sight words. We like seeing him develop his social skills at this age as well.

Most of all, the families. The families are kind and approachable. It is so nice to see them in the mornings and see how they all care about their children and even the children in the classroom. I can tell that we all look out for one another.
