What wonderful service! I had my AO Pilot frames damaged by LensCrafters. (Note: Don't go there unless you want your frames broken, TWICE!) They wouldn't anti up for damaging my frames. AO has been bought out by a foreign company. (Bad move!) Of course, they not only moved the company away from Massachusetts but, they also made some changes to the AO Pilot frames. (TWO bad moves! OK. Moving from MA maybe not so bad. LOL) Most notably the elimination of the Comfort Cable temples. (Bad move!) The new frames have been redesigned and the new parts will not transfer to the new design. (Another bad move!)
On the upside, AO has wisely worked with Northwest Frame Repair to solve such problems. (Smart move!) Northwest was able to replace me frames and repair my well experienced Comfort Cable temples. I am now have my old lenses in my new frames and could not be happier! Thank you Northwest Frame Repair for saving the day and my eyeglasses!
I have another pair of AO Pilots that will be going to Northwest in the near future for the same repair. That way, I will always have a backup pair of glasses ready. Since I will never be going back to LensCrafters that may not be necessary but, other things can happen so it's best to be prepared.
Northwest was able to do the repairs and ship the frames in short order. Their fee was exceptionally reasonable which definitely helps considering the dire straits of our economy. I could not be happier.
