My home is old, built in 1980, I bought it that year. It is totally electric, because at that time there were no gas taps available. Our city recently increased the rates again, 5% for each of the last five years, and this year by 6.5%. We also have a TOU (time of use) charge - ours in the winter is from 5 to 9 pm, and they charge four times as much per kWh during that time. I've been wanting to have my windows replaced as in the winter the heat seems to just go out the windows. I got four bids from local contractors. Nex-Gen was not the lowest, but their bid was the most comprehensive (it included everything - two of the other bids would have required having another company do finish work). Their salesman Justin was very thorough, I greatly appreciated his help and advice. I signed a contract on 11/15/2024. The final step on replacement was done on 3/5/2025. During that time frame I frequently spoke with Ayanthe at their local office. She was amazing and answered all my many questions and the ones she was not able to respond to, she would get the answer and call me back shortly. I had many questions and did not hesitate to call her as the need occurred. After the windows were installed I had many questions and Ayanthe told me that Mike come to my house to answer questions and correct a few minor issues. During the staining of the wood, there were many more questions and she was the voice of reassurance that I needed. Mike (who I presume is part of quality control), again visited and cleared up two small issues. I'm extremely happy with the new windows and I know I will miss chatting with Ayanthe. Today I called and asked if it would be possible for me to meet her in person. Today I met her in person and thanked her for all of her help during my window replacement project.
