Normally I don't respond to phone call solicitations however, I accepted a call from the Newton Group. I skipped out on my first appointment because I still didn't feel good about it. The next time they called I went ahead and confirmed to participate. The person who I was assigned to reminded me of a Time Share salesman. He was aggressive and didn't show any empathy but instead kept insisting with, "well do you want to keep paying maintenance fees all your life or do you want to get out of it". I didn't like it and I did tell him he sounded like a Time Share salesman. I told him I didn't have that kind of money at my disposal and he said just put it on a credit card because I would pay it off whereas, I'll keep paying maintenance fees forever. Despite his lack of professionalism and strongarm technique, I went further and listened to more presentations. I finally took out a small loan and went ahead with the program because I was not using the time share any longer. Then after my payment there was more I had to pay. After dealing with the initial sales person, other representatives were helpful and good to work with. This all started in February 2022 and finally was settled in September 2022. I do feel better about exiting from the time share and felt ashamed that my wife and I bought into it. I will never do it again and will not recommend anyone to buy a time share ever. I am thankful that I answered the Newton Group's phone call and went through till the end. Yes, in the beginning I was having second thoughts about doing this and the sales person made it difficult for me to feel good about it. I googled the Newton Group to assure myself I was doing the right thing. After it's all said and done I am thankful for what was achieved through the Newton Group.
