Mustard Seed has a great direction for preparing the children to learn and play. The organic food plan is wonderful. It is has been a great for our son’s social personality.
The teachers are open and have been very good at giving us feedback on progress. The staff is also very proactive in responding to any concerns or questions we have.

When a big change is necessary they communicate well and often. I have been satisfied with their ability to adjust to our personal needs as well as the need of the school overall.

When we set out to look for a quality daycare to keep our child it had to have several specific expectations...
1. Director and teachers who cared about the kids
2. Clean and nice facility
3. Curriculum that would prepare the kid for transition to future schooling
4. Good nutritious meal program
5. An indoor/outdoor play space that was safe and secure.

We toured 7 daycares in the area and Mustard Seed was one of our top choices. What separates Mustard Seed from the others was the warm welcome we received from the staff, the extra measures they took when it came to food, cleanliness, transparency and reassuring proper care would be priority.

I would not recommend Mustard Seed to anyone. They seem very nice during your tour, but the truth is they will tell you anything you want to hear; in order to get your child to go there. The teachers are changing constantly. Most the teachers they do hire are NOT very good and the good teachers don't last very long as the management team does not respect or care for the staff members. They say your children will have highest way of learning but they are just like anyother daycare. Yes the management team seems nice but they have no idea on how to run in daycare let alone an Academy. Yes the director has alot of experience but is very lazy, unorganize, and dosent care about the well-being of the staff. She has asked them to lie about certain events that have happened, and come in while they were sick and highly contagious.

Mustard Seed Academy is by no means perfect as a daycare, but what I can guarantee is that they have a passion for children’s education. A few highlights of why we chose Mustard Seed
1) Curriculum
a. The curriculum is definitely above average at Mustard’s Seed
b. My son got into painting because of his exposure to it at Mustard
c. I also enjoy the fact that they teach the kids about faith

a. I cant talk enough about food
b. Baking Classes ( I got my 3 year old wanting to help me in the kitchen now)

I toured 10 different area schools before deciding on MSCA. It was clear from my first tour that this facility was a step above the rest. I expressed my concerns that my child was a handful. I was assured they knew how to handle him and he would be just fine. They were right! We have seen an improvement not only in his behavior in only 5 months but also an UNBELIEVABLE improvement in his education. We are amazed at what he learns each week. He is so excited to go to school each day. Every teacher in the facility knows my sons name. He hugs them all which shows me he’s really enjoying himself there. They all seem to care about him just as much as we do. Then you have the food they are served! Not your standard food, so healthy and so much variety. My oldest child has attended the school for the past 3 years and my youngest has been there for over a year starting at just 3 months old. We as parents need to be patient enough to understand that the management team is striving for a great fit for our children and that staff changes may occur. Communication is essential in situations that involve our children. I can be the first to say that I have had frustrations in the past as well but have always tried to be upfront with communicating those to the staff. I have always been treated with the upmost respect by the MSCA staff and management team. I would give this school more than a 5 star rating if given the chance. First, let me say that anyone posting a 1 star review without a comment should be written off immediately. Google reviews for a children's academy is not the place for spineless internet trolls.

Second, I'll say that we have been with MSCA since it opened in 2015 and I've watched my 4 year old daughter grow up there. As expected with any newly established institution, there have been a few rough patches with staff members transitioning over the years. All the while, MSCA has stayed true to the best interests of the children and academic expectations; making the necessary adjustments to ensure they have the right staff to provide NWA with a Children's ACADEMY, not a day care.

My child was there for 9 months. The staff and teachers were inconsistent, always hiring and firing. Several parents had complaints about multiple issues including ratios of kids to teacher, proper outdoor wear, not documenting injuries and the worst, multiple complaints on certain members of the staff who were seen being too loud and rough/physical with the children. It was after many incidents that a teacher was eventually let go and after videos were reviewed but, even the managers had acknowledged their were multiple complaints. It should never have taken so long to follow up with individuals who were causing parents to feel their children were not safe. Read more >
