My 5-year-old daughter has been going to this school for almost 3 years now, and my family could not be happier. She can speak - and read - 5 different languages, and her current math level is well above average. While academics are essential, soft skills to navigate the current world are also taught to children. I always get complimented not only on how polite and well-mannered my daughter is, but also on how her intellectual abilities surpass her age.
Additionally, I love that Ms. Susan and the teaching staff keep an open line of communication, allowing us to be active participants in my daughter's education. We can always reach out to them for any questions, concerns, and even guidance on how to enhance the little ones' learning at home.

We love the Socratic School of Language/Mind Bloom! Our daughter started there in the Summer of 2020 during Covid. As essential personnel we were worried but we definitely needed a safe space for our child to go to while we were at work. We were immediately put to ease by the schools cleaning policies and mask/face shield/monitoring policies. The school has remained open and everyone thus far has remained healthy. Additionally, the best part of Mind Bloom is that it feels like a family. Our child is thriving, making friends, playing, picking up multiple languages, and is happy, which is huge. We are so lucky to have an establishment like this in our community. We already asked about when we can sign our new born up for enrollment! Thank you Mind bloom for being a magical unicorn, especially during these interesting times. You guys are the real super heroes!

We enrolled our son in the spring break camp at the Socratic School of Language (MindBloom sister school). Ms. Susan was excellent in speaking with us about the camp and answering all of our questions. We could not have been happier with the Spanish immersion camp. Our son came home every day with items showing his continued learning and progress. He consistently asked when he could go back. We will be recommending this to our friends who have children looking for different camp options especially since they have language immersion.

My son has attended summer camp at mind bloom for 3 years in a row. He enjoys the teachers and his friends at the camp and looks forward to the field trips they take.

Our child has been a student for the past three years and it has been an amazing experience for her. In that time, she has grown academically and socially and in her emotional intelligence. The school has fostered a love of learning and exploring new opportunities. She has developed in her target language (Chinese) and the other two languages (Arabic and Spanish). We are so happy that our child is cared for, challenged, and receiving the critical skills needed to thrive. The teachers are nothing less than impressive and skilled.

Great summer camp program!

We had a great experience with MindBloom Preschool's summer camp program. Our daughter truly loved the activities, teachers, and fellow students and looked forward to going each week. We greatly appreciate the efforts to teach languages creatively, the incorporation of arts and crafts/activities, and the weekly field trips. We are definitely hoping to return to the program next summer!

I love MindBloom Preschool. My daughter learned a lot, especially Mandarin. Ms. Jing has been doing a tremendous job teaching her additions, reading, counting, and writing. We, the parents, enjoy the program a lot, and our bundle of joy is excited each time we go to school.

I love the Socratic School of Language! All of the teachers are awesome. My son started there in the summer of 2020 and within a short amount of months, I had already noticed a HUGE difference. He's more sociable, his words are so very clear and he's only 2! His Arabic and Spanish, is becoming clearer and clearer each day. He's singing songs, that I can't even understand...lol. He's also counting numbers, all the time, in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
The Mind Bloom staff takes very good care of my son and always reporting back the details of his progress. A BIG shout out to Ms. Susan, Ms. Fatima, Ms. Jing, Xavier, Ms. Damaris and Ms. Flor. I have delayed writing this review because I do not know the words to express my appreciation of the team at MindBloom/The Socratic School of Language and I did not want to fall short of what they deserve. I have two boys, now 4 and 6 however one has been with the team since he was 2 and the other 3. The educators and learning platform is phenomenal with my sons participating in the Mandarin immersion program, they were additionally exposed to Spanish and Arabic, regularly singing songs in all three languages. The team love my boys like family and I assure you that the feeling is mutual. In addition to the immersion experience, the team further ensures that the summer months are not lost and provide one on one assistance with the children to keep them sharp and prepared for their next grade level.

The Socratic School of Language (formerly MindBloom), has been marvelous for our son. Class sizes are small, the teachers are caring, capable and attentive, and he’s speaking Spanish after only a year!

The Socratic School of Language is an outstanding organization. My child was enrolled in the Mandarin Immersion program between the ages of two through six. The instruction he received was first-class: Native Mandarin speakers often comment on his fluency and knowledge of the vernacular. As part of his lunchtime and after-care activities, he received lessons in Spanish, Arabic, and French. In addition to his targeted language instruction, he received a full complement of academic instruction (e.g., maths; geography; history; and civics) beyond his grade level.

Speaking plainly, the instruction my son received at The Socratic School made his age-related transition out into another program an exercise in becoming comfortable with academic repetition, since he was instructed at a level beyond that of his peers. My son was going to a day care and when he was 2 and half years old, I started looking for a better learning experience for him. I occasionally drove by Mind Bloom Pre-School and noticed their billboard so I figured, I should give them a call. When I called to ask if they had space, I was only thinking I will probably get a place next year. I was lucky to have found one spot in the middle of the year. I enrolled my son at Mind Bloom immediately, hopeful that they offer an engaging early education experience. My son and I were not disappointed. My son joined the Spanish immersive program. My twin boys were with Mindbloom for nine months in the Mandarin-track program. I was impressed by the teachers who were native speakers from mainland China, and also by the curriculum which integrated science, arts, and even music into their language and intellectual development. The school was located close to a playground around the corner, and the teachers were very willing to work with us despite one of my twins having issues with potty training regression. At the beginning, the boys could not speak very much Chinese. However, at the end of the nine month period, they became conversant with 3-4 word phrases. We stopped attending in order to take advantage of public preschool (PK3). However, we will definitely utilize Mindbloom for drop-in services in the future and/or consider it for our third son who is still under a year old, when he reaches their minimum age (2).

Mandarin, Spanish and Arabic 90%+ immersion, mixed age, full day preschool programs. Classrooms are very spacious, ratios very small (currently 4:1 in my son's Mandarin class). The Mandarin teachers are excellent, several students are native speakers as well. For small child to truly learn chinese, this is the next best thing to being homeschooled in a chinese family. I researched MANY mandarin immersion preschools before picking this one, the only negative is no meals provided. Also, aftercare is usually in Mandarin, bur sometimes Arabic, or Spanish.

*****FIVE STARS***** I had been driving by the MindBloom School on Rhode Island Ave. for two years waiting for my daughter to be old enough to go to this school. I imagined my baby learning Mandarin and coming home and painting Chinese Calligraphy but when she was old enough to attend Summer Camp there last Summer I discovered that it was so much more than learning languages: Chinese and Spanish. It's a total language and cultural immersion experience where they learn about Spanish and Chinese foods, go to cultural museums like the Mexican Cultural Institute; learn about traditional dances and history. The kids receive personalized attention, they take walks daily, the teacher to child ratio is amazing. It's just an all around nurturing, child centered diverse cultural immersion environment for preschoolers. The Director is amazing, very knowledgeable, hands on and approachable....

My daughter receives Mindbloom Spanish services as an aftercare program at her school twice a week and we've been beyond pleased. She has articulated that she loves the class saying things like "Spanish is my favorite", "Do I have Spanish today?" and "Look what I made today!". We have also overheard her pretending to speak Spanish when she engages in imaginative play at home.

We've also been more than satisfied with the observed structure of the program. When we arrive to pick her up, children are always all engaged in a cool art-based activity and I often hear "wait a minute Mommy" as she finishes up. We would highly recommend!

I have been very happy with the immersion program that Mindbloom is offering at my daughter's school - I even have started encouraging other parents to join the program!

It had been three years since my kid was in a bilingual daycare, so I was not sure whether she would be able to pick it up again easily. And in the beginning, she was frustrated by the lack of English and how she couldn't easily understand everything that was happening. But very quickly, she began to understand her teachers based on context and other non-verbal clues. After 5 weeks in the program, she is now singing songs in Spanish every morning and she looks forward to the program every day. She really enjoys the various activities they do with the children - art projects that incorporate words, letters, colors, body parts, etc. She also likes to tell her little sister the Spanish word for different...

Before MindBloom, I tried to teach my daughter basics in mandarin and have brought her mandarin language programs in the area with little success. She did not want to learn from me and was bored in other classes. Since starting MindBloom, her mandarin language skills has exploded exponentially with tangible results. The other night I heard her sing a mandarin song she learned through her MindBloom class. She not only sings the words in the right tones but understands the meaning of the words - she knows what she is singing about.

My daughter looks forward to class and loves her teacher. She proudly shows the crafts she made in class and tells me about it in mandarin.

As the European-decent parent of Chinese-American children, it means so much to us to have MindBloom available to our three-year-old through Amedon-Bowen. The curriculum is practical and the projects are fun for the kids. The practice words and pronunciations shared with parents helps us all engage in our child's experience. The teachers are kind and understanding. The room seems to be distracting, but that's of no fault to MindBloom. We sing your praises and are very thankful! Thank you!

Great classroom opportunity. Would like flashcards and regular checkins, but this is a great subject to introduce at an early age.

We really wanted to reinforce what our son had learned in Spanish class at school last year, especially because his class will only take Spanish in the spring this year. So we signed him up for the aftercare program to have some continuity and he says he likes it and is always eager to show us his projects from MindBloom. Still I worried that he might lose both interest and vocabulary since he recently started Hungarian school on the weekends. Apparently my worries were unfounded--during his most recent Hungarian class when it was his turn to say the colors in Hungarian (he knows them well) he excitedly recited them in Spanish instead!
