Midwest Recovery Centers

This rehab was the second one that I attended and the only one that I completed. When I entered the facility I was going through a low point in my life, but this facility helped me get back some of my self esteem and confidence. The staff has been nothing but helpful, friendly, and entertaining and my feedback is received and implemented rapidly. I would recommend this facility for any addict seeking long term sobriety.

Midwest Recovery Centers made me feel welcome, despite not always having the most positive attitude. The mens structured home has lots of room, comfortable beds, an awesome pool, sauna and I enjoyed getting to go to the gym. The back deck is perfect for grilling and having house meetings. The peer support staff do a great job helping me and really care about my recovery and my well-being. Although I didn't always respond well to my therapist, he challenged me to open up and look at things that needed to change in my behavior. Group sessions were helpful and helped me get to know others in recovery. My favorite part was getting to attend outside 12 step meetings every day, and learn how to get comfortable sharing, making sober friends, and having accountability. I'm not scared to open up in meetings anymore, and MRC helped me to achieve this.

My experience at MRC has been very good. Everyone was extremely welcoming and wants you to get better. I have been to 6 treatment centers that have ranged from extremely good to money pits that don't care about you or your sobriety to genuinely terrible places to be and Midwest recovery by far the best. I have never felt stronger in my recovery in my life; I'm the one that put in the work but MRC was always there to push me in the right direction and gave me the building blocks to build my recovery.

Coming to Midwest Recovery Centers is the best decision I have ever made. I came in broken in every way possible and MRC has helped me put my life back together. Being in Phase 1 i had the opportunity to focus on myself and my life. They encouraged us to work the 12 steps and to find a sponsor to help us. We got to go to 12 step meetings every night to help us realize that there is a way out and that we are not alone. And getting to live with a group of other addicts and alcoholics that are going to the same stuff you are is a pretty amazing experience. I have made life long friends through this program. We are all from different walks of life but have the same disease of addiction. I am now in Phase 2 and I have got so many gifts from life thanks to MRC. I am a completely different person. I have got my life back.

Coming to Midwest was one of the best things for me. I had tried to get my life together with other treatment centers, but it never worked for me. Midwest has a good mixture of 12 step involvement, evidence based treatment, and just compassionate support from their staff, to make sure each client is comfortable and has the room they need, to grow and find recovery. This was the best decision I could have made for my life. Since the staff have personal experience with recovery and addiction it made me feel more comfortable in trusting them. They genuinely care about how to get you back on your feet and want to see you succeed. I'm glad I gave a treatment a chance and I am grateful it was this center that I went to.

I owe everything my life has become to what I learned here, and the caring and understanding staff that saw me through some of the worst moments of my life. Almost two years later I havent once looked back on the life I chose to walk away from. More than anything else this place gave me back my peace of mind, a luxury I had not known for decades. To anyone questioning what to do next, I cannot reccomend a better place to find yourself.

Seeking treatment for my addiction was one of the harder decisions I've had to make in my life. To be honest I still can't believe I was brave enough to get the help I needed. I am forever grateful that I chose Midwest Recovery. Being there gave me the opportunity to work through the issues that lead me to substance abuse and also learning healthier ways to cope. Since leaving I now have an abundance of resources to continuing sobriety and a strong support system. I have never felt more supported in my life by the people around me. We chose MRC to help our son because they take a long-term approach to dealing with addiction. Most rehabs are 30 days which in my opinion is not nearly enough time. While the path has been difficult for our family, I feel it was the right choice.

Our experience with Jeff and Kevin and the entire Midwest Recovery team has been truly a blessing. Our journey with addiction has taken us down many roads, but we feel so strongly about Jeff and Kevin and their ability to connect with our son. Everything about the operation is top notch, but their compassion and adherence to their plan, is what makes this place special for us. Really good men, who do a wonderful job of listening and sharing their real world experience with not only the people in the program, but their loved ones as well. Excellent communication and a loving atmosphere. We highly recommend Midwest Recovery Centers to anyone battling with addiction.

Talking about addiction is hard, admitting addiction is hard for the addict and the family. Midwest Recovery has given us all a new lease on life. It has given us all hope. Our son has been in the program for 9 months and while every day is still a struggle, every day he has support from the most incredible people. He is learning to deal with life in the real world as opposed to life in a haze, devoid of reality. The first phase of the program kept him very busy with meetings, counseling sessions, bonding with people, and coming to terms with addiction. Now, he has to put into all that into practice, work, go to meetings, keep to the rules. He is learning responsibility. Responsibility for his actions and that there are consequences for those actions. He is learning that he needs to have structure and plan to move forward, he can't just 'wing' it. I have had the opportunity to work with clients and staff here in a professional manner. I have worked with other rehabilitation facilities in the past. What's different about Midwest is that they seem to have a genuine compassion and understanding for addicts and alcoholics that extends beyond a clinical scope.

MRC is set up with a knowledgeable clinical staff as well as a solid peer support staff that supervises the clients 24/7. Midwest is a great start in beginning a foundation for life-long recovery. Beyond educational lectures and clinical therapy - the treatment protocol focuses widely on coping mechanisms, life-skills, and addressing behavioral issues.

Awesome staff, great clinical program, and a comfortable and secure environments for addicts new or returning to recovery.

Other than one staff guy by the name of CHAD this place was great I went for 90 days and as far as rehab goes this is the best I've seen o would highly recommend this place,they actually care about your recovery here witch isn't very common in rehabs in my experience
