Tried at a farmers market and loved the salad-couldn't wait to grab another, drove out and it was closed, was disappointed but owner was very responsive. So I literally just stopped in today to try one of their salads. I got the summer salad that had feta cheese, strawberries, blueberries, and walnuts. It’s probably the best salad I’ve ever had. The walnuts and strawberries taste better for some reason and the balsamic salad dressing you just want to drink. I really was expecting micro greens to taste like bean sprouts or a a mixed bag of fancy lettuce that has those sour leaves. So wrong I was. The micro greensI had were so mild with almost a mild buttery taste which I admit is a weird description. All I know is they don’t taste like grocery store lettuce. These salads though… I mean COME ON. Easily one of the tastiest salads I’ve had in a long time. The micro greens MAKE THE SALAD and I can’t believe the taste difference between a salad made with micro greens and a salad made with lettuce, it’s like night and day. After buying a salad two days in a row, I had to go back for day #3 and took my mother into the store with me. The woman who helped us was very friendly and went out of her way to accommodate my request. She also explained what goes into the micro green mix, where it comes from, and how fresh it is. The owner, Matt, is such a down to earth guy too! 10/10 would recommend. I went to the farmers market near Clayton and we didn’t get much opportunity to buy from all the places we wanted to so I was surprised to get a free salad from the guy running this booth since he didn’t sell all of them. I felt so bad I couldn’t give him cash! Not every vendor is easy to talk to so I like that as well. I picked up two of the pre-made salads at the Lake St Louis Farmer’s Market thinking that they were a little ‘spendy’, BUT ... they are much larger than they look! If you add a protein, one salad could easily serve two adults as a main dish salad. I just ate the Summer Salad without an added protein as my dinner and struggled to finish it, but it was SO fresh and delicious that I did! Knowing that every bite was clean, and full of nutrients took the sting out of the price. I’m always willing to spend more for great quality, and these salads are totally worth the price. I ordered 3 different salads after a neighbor recommended Micro Meadows. Delivery was super convenient and exactly when they specified. The salads were all delicious. I ate the third salad 6 days after it had been delivered and all of the greens were still fresh and not wilted or slimy. All the ingredients were high quality and went great together.
