I have been in the position as an assistant toddler teacher at the West location of La Bella Vita Montessori School for about 10 months, and have loved every moment of it. I knew nothing about Montessori prior to working here, but continuing to learn about it and working at LBV has made me fall in love with the Montessori philosophy.
The families that are and were enrolled at the school are amazing families! A lot of them are very supportive and have been nothing but friendly and welcoming since I have became part of the team.
The kids are a burst of energy everyday and are excited to learn and I love being able to observe and be apart of it! Not only have kids been learning, but I have too, because of them!
Recently, both locations have been in one building, and I honestly love it! West location teachers and Maple teachers have had an opportunity to work together daily and the environment has been supportive, productive, and enjoyable. Everyone is willing to help each other out and go above and beyond in tasks at hand.
The administration staff is amazing! Amy is fantastic in checking in with staff daily and finding out answers for the many questions we have. She’s very understanding and makes super strong connections with each teacher of the team. Sharon will constantly remind you that her job is to look out and have take care of the staff members and since I have met her, she have kept her word in doing so. She takes time monthly to hear from each of us to encourage us to grow and reach goals both personal and professional. She creates opportunities to make sure that we still are able to do what we (teachers) love to do. It’s been really rewarding to have a boss/owner of a company that listens and accepts your ideas, wanting to see you do more, and helping you get there.
Overall, LBV has been a welcoming and enjoyable place to work at. I look forward daily to being at work with the kiddos and my team!!
