It was well worth the time I invested taking Jill Lublin's PR Crash Course. I wanted to understand how to promote my business without feeling pushy and inauthentic and she's clearly a PR expert. What I learned in this class is that effective PR is a system. You need to develop a limited number of PR assets, periodically review and update them, select where you'll use them to reach your audience, and schedule your outreach to be most effective. The thing that most surprised me is how little time promotion takes when you're prepared to do it.
