I initially had an issue with how the car I was interested was advertised; however, after speaking with the General Manager, Dana, we were able to amicably resolve everything. Overall, I was happy with my experience.

I had been looking to replace my 2005 sedan with a new (or newer) car for about a year. I did my research on-line and last month finally narrowed my picks to five different SUV's. After testing the cars and talking to sales consultants in four different dealerships, I had just about decided to keep my car for another year. Then, I went to Hammonasset Ford! There I met James Filley who not only listened to my list of 'must haves' and 'would-likes' but also asked clarifying questions before showing me the car I would soon own - a beautiful Ford Edge! James was so very easy to work with. He is knowledgeable about the Edge and confident in its performance. His calm demeanor, his straight answers, and his concern for meeting my car needs resulted in a stress-free purchase of my first Ford!

I had been searching the internet for weeks looking for a slightly used Ford Flex with a particular set of options. Hammonasset Ford had exactly the car I was looking for. I spoke with Gary Cooper who confirmed all of the particulars and then he handed me off to Steve Mantilia. We agreed upon a price right over the phone since he appreciated that I was going to have to travel 3 hours. Hammonasset Ford was recommended by one of my wife's co-workers, and after leasing my Fiesta ST from them, I can understand why. Mike Kievits jumped through a number of hoops to get the car I was looking for, and was always very responsive when I had questions. When the estimated payments came back higher than expected, they tracked down answers for me (car tax included in lease payments), and they made a very reasonable trade-in offer on my beloved Miata that made everything simpler.

I really enjoyed driving my 2014 Ford C-Max Hybrid for 7 months now. I still have to clear the snow on my sloped driveway before driving the car up the driveway because the car slips in the snow. Other than that, my driving experience is great once I'm on the road and very good gas mileage, too. I was lucky to have Nando Varriale, the salesman, deal me this excellent car. I recommend him to anyone looking for a new or used Ford vehicle.

I actually had fun buying a car at Hammonasset Ford. The negotiated price was right and they are really nice people to deal with. Nando was very attentive and supportive of my every concern. He went out of his way to ensure that I was getting what I wanted; instructed me on all of the unfamiliar features; and, even set up the Bluetooth for my cellphone after I had purchased the car. Ali, the business manager, was very helpful in advising me on a practical and affordable maintenance agreement that will ensure that I have no surprise catastrophic maintenance costs for the used Ford Explorer that I purchased.

James Filley was patient, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and work with and most importantly he was trustworthy, following through on everything he said he could and would do. He helped expedite delivery in less than 3 hours from the decision to purchase. He followed up with contact both 2 days and 3 days after delivery to ensure satisfaction. In short James was focused on client satisfaction and should be commended.

Buying new Ford

My family purchased our second Ford Escape in a year. We dealt with Nando on the first Escape and he was very easy to communicate with and worked hard to accommodate our needs, researching to fill our requirements. He is an excellent sales person and makes purchasing a car a pleasant experience. On our most recent purchase, he was outstanding as well. My wife and I were in the market for a new Ford Escape. Our experience started with a phone call from the Sales Manager (Steve) after we had submitted a quote request on-line the night before. That call got us in the door because we were at our area dealers in Milford & Hamden and then drove over 40 minutes to get up to Madison. I always do my homework before I buy new cars and they gave me the best deal out of all the area Ford Dealers (I'm convinced of that). James Filley was our sales consultant and he was knowledgable and respectful and everything you would expect out of a sales consultant. It is no shock to me that they were voted best CT dealership last year. They are a class act.

As soon as we walked through the dealership doors we were cordially greeted by the receptionist. We were referred to Jim when we communicated to her that we were interested in purchasing a Focus.

I picked up my new Ford F-150 yesterday and I am amazed at how flawlessly the entire purchase process went. I had worked with a number of salesmen at other dealerships during my search for a new truck but James Filley at Hammonasset Ford was by far the most informed and helpful. Working with Steve Mantilia and Guy French to finalize the pricing and financing was almost painless (spending money is never completely painless). During the delivery process, James spent close to an hour going over the various electronics and control systems on the truck to be sure I understood them. I hope his voice recovers from the strain of talking up at me for so long; I'm six-foot-seven and he is about five-foot-nothing!

We had visited several dealerships before going to Hammonasset Ford. From the time we arrived, the experience was noticably different than the rest. The level of professionalism was refreshing.

The used car we purchased required attention to some minor details that were discovered only after the sale was completed (this was not the fault of the dealer). When these items were discovered, our salesman, Mike Timmons, expedited a quick resolution. Because the deal was done and the car was already paid for, they could have apologized for the inconvenience and sent us on our way. Instead, they addressed our request and didn't make excuses. This is a very professionally-operated dealership.
