Home Instead - Bettendorf

We were so happy to find Home Instead for my father-in-law since everyone in his family lives out of state. They took care of everything and my father-in- law considered everyone he interacted with on a regular basis a friend. Since he lived alone, it was so nice for him to still feel like he was socializing with friends.

My Mother requires assistance from 8 AM until 8 PM everyday. Home Instead has been able to provide qualified caregivers to meet those needs. Dealing with Alzheimer's disease, Home Instead has worked with me to limit the number of caregivers that my Mother has tending to her. This provides a more stable environment for my Mom and reduces her anxiety. When a caregiver needs their normally scheduled time off, Home Instead works to ensure that the vacancy is filled with a caregiver that my Mom is familiar with if possible. Our primary caregiver, that is with my Mom the majority of the time on a daily basis, has become a true friend for my Mom. She is super compassionate and is wonderful with my Mom. My Mom truly loves her. Home Instead is always attentive to any issues we have or changes in the care plan. Home Instead is helping me to provide the best care possible for my Mother.

The care givers listened carefully and were alert to my mother's needs, and made sure they were met to the best of their ability. I would welcome the opportunity to thank them more personally.

We had Home Instead for our dad the last few months of his life. We hired them based on another friend's recommendation, and we were happy we listened to that advice. The Home Instead people were kind and thorough. They left detailed notes and communicated with us personally. Dad grew to like several of them very much, and they were equally sad when he passed away. As I live in the Chicago suburbs and my brother lives in New York, we were very dependent on them. They made Dad's last few months as comfortable as it could be, and we will be eternally grateful.

I was very impressed with the workers from Home Instead. Respectful, responsible, reliable, and very helpful in all ways. Thank you all who made it possible to help when needed.

My wife, Pam, had a rare, progressive neurological disease, PSP. The Mayo Clinic diagnosed her in January 2013; there are no procedures or medications which will reverse, or slow the progression. By May, Pam needed 24/7 caregiver assistance as her balance deteriorated, resulting in falls. Susan had just come off another client assignment and was my wife's primary caregiver over the next year, as I increased Home Instead's 18 hrs/wk to ~40 hours per week over six days. Home Instead added two additional caregivers to cover my request of increased hours since Pam could not be alone by herself. As Pam had more motor skill difficulties, and required more care for daily activities, I increased Home Instead's hours to nearly 60 hours per week, which required more caregivers.

During this period, I developed a hernia from lifting and moving my wife in and out of bed, toilet...

I love my job as a caregiver. They are a wonderful company to work for. The office staff truly cares for their employees and their clients. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

Home Instead helped take of my mother for years and we had them in to help my Dad after he had back surgery.

My mother received Home Instead care in her home for 5 years before she passed away three years ago. She was resistant to the idea for years, but after a severe fall and reduced mobility, as well as the loss of her driving ability, she had no choice, other than a nursing home, which she was totally opposed to. I believe her caretakers, especially Marci, prolonged her life. They also improved our long-distance communication with Mom, as well as with her doctors and nurses. Strongly recommended.

My family and I had some tough decisions to make. We knew we needed help for mom and dad but didn't know where to start. We did our research for home healthcare and assisted leaving. We ended where we started our first inquiry with Home Instead. Not only did they listen to mom and day but they listened to their kids. In the end they offered great advice and even better services. They found the perfect care provider for us. In fact we think of her as one of us. We couldn't ask for more.

Home Instead was amazing with my dad. (and my dad could be a real handful) They left notes for me on how things went for the day. How he ate, his blood sugar numbers, his mood, if he slept, etc. I would definitely recommend them. They are great people that help out your family and genuinely care about the well being of your family member. It gave me piece of mind while I was at work knowing I didn't have to worry because someone was with my dad and it gave him someone to socialize with as well. Thank you for all you do Home Instead!! The people we had come to the home to sit with bob were over and above in their professionalism and caring for Bob. They quickly learned what he liked to eat and what shows he liked to watch and did everything possible to make him happy and be safe and cared for thank you so much

I receive excellent service from my care giver. She cleans the house, does the laundry, gets my groceries and many other things. Now my family can have a break and not have to worry about me.

We hired Home Instead to care for my mom while she was very ill. Everyone who came into her home was excellent. I would tel them know what mom needed done on that day and it was taken care of from light cleaning, to assisting her on daily walks, taking her to her doctors appointments and assisting her with personal care. I would highly recommend Home Instead if you have a loved one who would like to remain in their home.

Caring yet professional. Home Instead provided in-home care for my father until he passed and then the same for my mother. They matched skilled caregivers' personality best suited to each of my parents. It was such a relief knowing mom and dad were safe and happy in their own home and I had piece of mind knowing their wishes to stay in their home were not compromised.
